Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a compound which is useful as a raw material for a polymer having improved heat resistance and rigidity, as a high-purity product free from anthraquinone, treating a thermal reaction mixture of 9,10-anthraquinone and an aniline with an amide solvent. CONSTITUTION:9,10-Anthraquinone and aniline and/or aniline hydrochloride, preferably the three compounds are reacted in the presence of an acidic catalyst at 100-250 deg.C for 1-100hr. The reaction mixture is reacted by the use of an amide solvent (e.g., N,N-dimethylacetamide) at 50-200 deg.C so that remaining 9,10-anthraquinone is separated and removed to give the aimed aromatic diamine.

Abstract: PURPOSE:The titled melt moldable copolymer, mainly containing phthalic acid units and specific two kinds of diamine units and having good thermal stability as well as fluidity at a molding temperature (250-380 deg.C). CONSTITUTION:A copolymer having (A) structural units expressed by formula I (R1 is 1-4C alkyl, alkoxy or halogen; a is 0-4), (B) structural units expressed by formula II and (C) structural units expressed by formula III [X is direct bond, -S-, -SO2-, -CO- or group expressed by formula IV (R2 is 1-4C alkyl, fluorine-substituted alkyl or phenyl) or formula V] as main essential structural units. The ratios of the respective units are as follows; 1mol total of the components (A) and (B) based on 1mol component (A) and 0.50-0.05mol component (C) based on 0.50-0.95mol component (B). The components (A) and (B) or (C) are alternately linked.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyamide-imide resin compsn. having improved heat distortion temp. and mechanical properties, by blending a crystalline arom. polyamide-imide resin with an amorphous thermoplastic arom. polyamide-imide resin. CONSTITUTION:A resin compsn. consists of 5-99wt% amorphous thermoplastic arom. poly-amide-imide resin (A) having a composition (100mol% in total) and a structure wherein the residues of diamines (or diisocyanate) are represented by formulas I-IV in such a proportion that the residues of formulas I and/or II and/or III are/is 20-100mol% and the residue of formula IV is 80-0mol%, and 95-1wt% crystalline arom. polyamide-imide (B) composed of a structure wherein 80-100mol% of the residue of a diamine (or diisocyanate) consists of a unit of formul V. In the formulas, X is -SO2-, etc.; R2 is a 1-4C alkyl, etc.; Q is a direct bond, -O-, etc.; a is 0, 1, 2; h is 1-10; c is 0, 1, 2; d is 0, 1-4.
