    Abstract: PURPOSE:A flexible, smooth, microporous membrane having a uniformly dispersed pigment, prepared by adding a polyurethane showing an intermediate property in wet coagulation to a mixed solution containing a polyurethane and another difficultly gelling polyurethane as a resin for kneading a pigment. CONSTITUTION:A microporous membrane is prepared by wet-coagulating a mixture which comprises (A) a polyurethane wherein at least 50wt% polymer diol consists of a polyetherdiol, (B) a polyurethane comprising a polymer diol, an organic polyisocyanate and a chain extender, wherein the polymer diol is a copolymer of a polyether, a polyester and a polycarbonate, and the polyether, the polyester and the polycarbonate as polymeric components are present in admixture, and (C) a composition prepared by kneading a pigment with a solution of a polyurethane wherein at least 70wt% polymer diol consists of a polyester and a polycarbonate and which satisfies the relationships, wherein GA, GB and GC are gel points of polyurethanes (A), (B) and (C), respectively.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare the titled membrane having uniform color and extremely excellent softness, smoothness and uniformity, by the wet coagulation of a composition composed of two kinds of polyurethane elastomers having close gel point with each other, and a pigment. CONSTITUTION:The objective membrane is prepared by the wet coagulation of a composition composed of (A) a polyether polyurethane elastomer wherein >=40wt% of the polymeric diol component is polyether diol, (B) a polyether/polyester and/ or polycarbonate polyurethane elastomer, (C) a pigment, and (D) a solvent, wherein the component (A) and component (B) satisfy the formula GA-1 =5wt% of the total polymeric diol. The mixing of the components is carried out by compounding the component B with the pigment, and then mixing the mixture with the component A by the aid of the solvent.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To separate polyurethane from a solvent efficiently, by adding water to a solution of polyurethane in a solvent, thereby coagulating the polyurethane in the form of fine particle and then separating the solid from the liquid. CONSTITUTION:From a metering pump 3, a polyurethane solution is supplied to an agitated tank equipped with an agitator 2 and, at the same time, water corresponding to 60-90% of the solution in the tank 1 is supplied to the tank 1 through a flow meter 5 and a pipe 4. The contents are agitated by rotating the agitator 2 at a peripherial velocity >=1,000m/sec, thereby to coagulate the solution into polyurethane in the form of fine particle. Next, this polyurethane and an aqueous solution of the solvent are discharged from an exit at the upper part of the tank 1 through a trough 7. While the solvent in the polyurethane is extracted with water ejected from spary nozzles 6, the stream is passed to separator 8 wherein the solid is separated from the liquid. The aqueous solution of the solvent is transferred from a receiving tank 9 to a recovery storage tank and recovered and recirculated.
