Abstract: A plurality of photosensitive elements (29-l to 29-n) are arranged one-dimensionally or two-dimensionally substantially in parallel with an image bearing member (21), and first and second stopping plates (30, 32) each of which has apertures (33, 34) at positions corresponding to the photosensitive elements (29) extend thereinbetween. The apertures (34) of the second stopping plate (32) are of a size within the photosensitive surfaces of the photosensitive elements (29). The dimensions of the apertures (33, 34) and of the photosensitive surfaces of the photosensitive elements (29) and the distances between the first stoppping plate (30), the second stopping plate (32) and the photosensitive elements (29) are set in predetermined relation. This prevents deviation of mounting position of the photosensitive elements (29) resulting in a measuring error.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent not only the abrasion of a coating roller but also the leakage of a coating solution from the side part of a coating solution sump space, by forming a minute gap between the recessed surface of a seal plate and the outer peripheral surface of the coating roller and gradually widenning the dimension of the gap as the seal plate is separated from the contact position of the recessed surface with the outer peripheral surface of the roller. CONSTITUTION:A recessed surface 14a is formed to the front end of a seal plate so as to almost correspond to the outer peripheral surface of a coating roller having an elastic surface and a gap is set between the recessed surface 14a and the outer peripheral surface 7a of the roller in a minute size. Therefore, the ink entering the gap acts as a lubricant at the contact part of the concave surface 14a of the seal plate and the outer peripheral surface 7a of the roller and the abrasion of the outer peripheral surface 7a of the roller at said contact part is prevented. Since the gap is set so as to become gradually wide as the seal plate is separated from the contact position of the recessed surface 14a with the outer peripheral surface 7a of the roller, the abrasion of the outer peripheral surface 7a of the roller and the leakage of the ink are prevented without being affected by the thickness of the ink film. Further, the gap also achieves action for relaxing the pressing force of the recessed surface 14a of the seal plate to the outer peripheral surface 7a of the roller and contributes to the prevention of the roller 2 from abrasion.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perforate holes accurately on a strip sheet by providing a conveying unit in which the outer peripheral surface of a driving roller for nipping the strip sheet is matte-finished, a working unit for forming holes or grooves on the above strip sheets and a control unit for controlling the angles of rotation of the driving roller based on control data and for operating the perforating unit. CONSTITUTION:A strip sheet 21 is conveyed while it is nipped by a driving roller 24 and a driven roller 25. Since the cuter peripheral surface of the driving roller 24 is matte-finished, the strip sheet 21 is conveyed without slipping, and the angle of rotation of the roller 24 is controlled by a control unit based on control data. Any position of the sheet 21 is thus conveyed up to a working unit 27 with high accuracy. Further, since the bottom of the perforating punch 42 of the working unit 27 is formed into a wedge-shape, nearly uniform punching force is obtained from the start of punching to the completion of it, and thus the strip sheet 21 does not shift laterally and longitudinally during the operation of punching.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light reflection suppressor which is small in the size of the optical axis direction of incident light, is large in the range of the incident light that may be attenuated and is capable of sufficiently attenuating the incident light by arranging plural planar members for suppressing the optical reflection of the incident light at every prescribed interval at a prescribed angle to the optical axis of the incident light. SOLUTION: The plural plate members 2 having the prescribed angle to the optical axis of the incident light are arranged at every prescribed interval within a frame of a rectangular parallelepiped opened at one side. The outer peripheral surfaces of these plate member 2 are subjected to coating to suppress the optical reflection. The bottom plate member a of the frame is also subjected to the coating to suppress the optical reflection. Such coatings are exemplified by, for example, black anodized aluminum, alkali coloring, black matte coating, etc. The width (the length from the position in contact with the bottom plate members 1a to the end on an incident light introducing side) of the plate member 2 is empirically or logically set in such a manner that at least prescribed number of times of multiple reflections are executed in correspondence to the intervals between the plate members 2 and the angle with the optical axis.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To avoid a dead angle from being caused in a picture read region by selecting the relation of dimension of each element so that the degree of overlap F of picture read regions in charge of adjacent photodetectors exceeds 0.1 and a flatness coefficient J of the sensitivity of the picture read region satisfies a value in excess of 0.95 and less than 1.05. CONSTITUTION:The degree of overlap F of a picture read region 37 in charge of adjacent photodiodes 29 is selected to be a value in excess of 0.1 and a flatness coefficient J of the sensitivity 38 of the picture read region 37 obtained by equation is selected to be a value in excess of 0.95 and less than 1.05. Thus, the combined sensitivity of the overlapped part of the picture read region 37 in charge of adjacent photodiodes 29 and the sensitivity at non overlapped part are made nearly equal to each other and the overall sensitivity 39 of the photodiodes 29 on an original film 21 is made almost flat except at both extremes. In the equation, p is a distance between centers of light receiving faces of the photodetectors adjacent to each other, Cu is an effective aperture size of an aperture opening of an aperture, C1 is a size of the light receiving face of the photodetector, H is an effective interval between the light receiving face of the photodetector and the measured sheet object and S is an effective interval between the light receiving face of the photodetector and the aperture opening of the aperture.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To automatically detect a block winding error at block supplying time by providing detecting means for detecting the erroneous winding by detecting the rotating position of a block tail grasping member after a printing block is completely mounted. CONSTITUTION:A block grasping and displacement detecting mechanism consisting of a mark member 375 and a photoelectric sensor 376 is provided at the left side of a plate cylinder 3. According to this mechanism, when the block tail is normally held by a block tail hook, the sensor 276 does not detect the member 375 and the sensor 376 detects the member 375 only when displacing the block or failing to grasp the block tail. Accordingly, the erroneous winding of the block such as the block displacement or the erroneous grasp of the block can be automatically detected on the basis of the output of the sensor 376.
