    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite film capable of using a polyester resin once used in extrusion as a raw material of good quality of a film without disusing and burning the same as industrial waste to sufficiently subject the recovered raw material to practical use. SOLUTION: A composite film has at least two layers of a layer A containing N1 foreign matters with a long diameter of 100 μm or more and a layer B containing N2 foreign matters with a long diameter of 100 μm or more and satisfies formula (l); N1>3 pieces/m2 and formula (2); N1-N2>=3 pieces/m2. The surface roughness ARa of the layer A and the surface roughness BRa of the layer B pref. satisfy formula (3); ARa>BRa and formula (4); ARa>20 nm.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the slip and mold release properties and inhibit the offset by coating a surface of a biaxially oriented polyester film with a coating material comprising an isocyanate resin and a specific silicone to thereby form a resin layer having a surface with a specified offset index. CONSTITUTION:A coating material comprising an isocyanate (e.g. 2,4-tolylene diisocyanate) and (or) a resin having an isocyanate group (e.g. a polyester- hexamethylene diisocyanate copolymer) and a silicone having a sec. and (or) tert. amino group (e.g. an aminated hydroxylated silicone) is applied to at least one surface of a biaxially oriented polyester film to form a resin layer having a surface with an offset index of 30-50dyne/cm. the coated film is useful for an audio cassette tape.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title film having a coating film containing a condensing inorganic fine particle and water soluble or water dispersible acryl resin and epoxy modified silicone on at least one surface of polyester film and excellent in slip properties, mold release characteristics and abrasion resistance. CONSTITUTION:Undrawn polyester film, preferably consisting of polyethylene terephthalate is drawn in the longitudinal direction to afford a monoaxially oriented film. The film is subjected to corona discharge treatment under carbon dioxide atmosphere and then a mixture consisting of a condensing inorganic fine particle (e.g. antimony sol) subjected to heat treatment at >=180 deg.C for 1-10sec, water soluble or water dispersible acryl resin and water soluble or water dispersible epoxy modified silicone is applied to the treated film face and the coated film is heated to 90-130 deg.C and drawn in the width direction and further heat-treated at 180-240 deg.C for 1-10sec to relax in the width direction and cooled to provide the aimed film. Furthermore, thickness of the mixture applied to the film surface is preferably 0.02-1mum.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a film whose thermal shrinkage factors of both a lateral and longitudinal directions are low, by a method wherein stretching of the lateral direction is begun from a specific temperature and then the same is performed while raising a temperature up to the necessary maximum temperature at a specific speed. CONSTITUTION:An unstretched sheet is produced by melting and extruding polyester resin. Then the unstretched sheet is stretched in a longitudinal direction. It is preferable to set a temperature 90-120 deg.C at this time. Then the same is heated at the temperature of 90 deg.C or higher and the same is stretched in a lateral direction while performing a temperature rise up to the necessary maximum temperature at a speed not exceeding 10 deg.C/second after that. It is preferable that a temperature rising speed in this instance is 5 deg.C/second or lower. Then a relaxation process is performed at need. Relaxation of 0.5-6% is performed in a lateral direction at the necessary maximum temperature or lower, to begin with, as the relaxation process. Then the relaxation of 0.1-1.0% is performed in a longitudinal direction at 80 deg.C-120 deg.C. Isotropy in thermal expansivity of an end part of a polyester film can be improved and thermal shrinkage factors of both a lateral and longitudinal directions can be reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title sheet excellent in adhesion of an ink layer to a plastic film used as a base, low in noise at the time of feeding for printing and having a property for clear printing, by providing a transfer ink layer capable of being melted or sublimed when being heated on one side of the plastic film. CONSTITUTION:As a plastic film constituting a base, polyester films may be used, among which biaxially stretched films of polyethylene terephthalate (PETP) and a copolymer containing at least 90mol% of a PETP component are preferable. A fusible or sublimable transfer ink layer is provided on one side of the plastic film. A coated film of a mixture of a thermoplastic polyurethane and/or a urethane polymer having an isocyanate terminal group with an organopolysiloxane having a viscosity of at least 1000 cSt at 25 deg.C is provided on the other side of the plastic film. By this, a thermal transfer sheet can be obtained which generates extremely low noise when being fed for printing and which is low in possibility of exfoliation of the coated film or contamination of a thermal head.
