Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge an aggregation state of detection body particles with high accuracy by binarizing the image of a reaction pattern of the detection body particles, extracting the maximum continuous area of picture elements of the same binarized value, and then finding area or the number of picture elements of the area and the inscribing maximum rectangular area, as feature values. SOLUTION: An image pickup device driving device 14 positions an image pickup device 12 for each well, images a reaction pattern, and supplies the signal to an image process circuit 22. The circuit 22 generates a stereo angle image of the reaction pattern, and displays it on a CRT monitor 24. A data process control device 26 binarizes a gradation value from the circuit 22 for generating a binarized image, and extracts the maximum continuous area in which the picture elements of the same binarized values continue, out of them. Then, area or the number of picture elements of the maximum continuous area and the maximum rectangular area inscribing it are found as feature values, and, based on them, an aggregation state of detection body particles is decided. By this, highly accurate judgment is possible even for a weak aggregation pattern.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the confirmation of dispensing and the detection of a liquid level even during the dispensing process without complicating the mechanism of an inspecting device, to perform the confirmation/detection of the dispensing action, the detection of the liquid level, the confirmation/detection of sucking action and the detection of the dispensing quantity securely and to sense the deviation of the dispensing quantity and the dispensing position caused by the separation and dropping phenomenon of the droplet attached to the tip of a nozzle whose dispensing action is finished, securely. SOLUTION: A photodetector sensor having a light source 70 such as a light emitting element, an incandescent lamp and a laser and a light receiving element 71 is assembled to a head (a) or a body. Then, one-end sides of optical fibers 72 and 73 are connected to the light source 70 and the light receiving element 71, respectively. The other-end sides of the optical fibers 72 and 73 are guided to the tip part of a nozzle 1 provided at the lower-end side of the head (a). A light projecting part 74 and a light receiving part 75 provided at the edge parts of them are provided at the tip part of the nozzle 1 provided at the lower-end side of the head (a) so as to face downward.
