Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mixed-weave fabric with soft puffiness, stretch and elegant surface feeling of high resilience and color developability. SOLUTION: This mixed-weave fabric is obtained by arranging, as wefts (or warps), crimpable conjugate multifilament yarns each with two kinds of polyester components differing in thermal shrinkage from each other conjugated in a side-by-side or sheath-core fashion, wherein the above multifilament yarns have the number of real twists T (T/M) with a twist multiplier α of 7,000-20,000 as shown by formula I and the total cover factor CF for both the warps and wefts as shown by formula II stands at 1,800-3,000. formula I: T=α.D-1/2, and formula II: CF=KW.DW1/2+KF.DF1/2 wherein, D is the fineness of a multifilament yarn (dtex); KW is the density of warps (number/2.54 cm); KF is the density of wefts (number/2.54 cm); DW is the fineness of a warp (dtex); and DF is the fineness of a weft (dtex).

SOLUTION: This composite yarn of filament and staple is obtained by combining a crimpable conjugate multifilament yarn in which polyester polymers of two or more components different in heat shrinkage are bonded side by side or in a sheath-core state with a crimpable conjugate staple composed of two or more components different in heat shrinkage and has a real twist of a twist coefficient α in a range of 3,000 to 20,000. The crimpable conjugate staple is preferably a conjugate yarn composed of (A) a polyester obtained by copolymerizing 2-7 mol% of 2,2[4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)phenyl]propane with 5-13 mol% of isophthalic acid and (B) a polyester constituted substantially of an ethylene terephthalate unit.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a touch feeling having crispiness (body) without any roughness from a textured yarn, capable of providing a dry touch and a glossy feelings recognized in a taffeta of a degummed silk woven fabric and further having a moderate bulkiness degree and an ultralow shrinkage factor due to actualized fine random crimps. CONSTITUTION: The characteristic of this silky polyester textured yarn comprises a cation-dyeable polyester multifilament yarn containing 1.0-2.0mol% 5-sodium sulfoisophthalic acid component and has a shrinkage factor in boiling water within the range of 1-5% and a bulkiness degree within the range of 2-6cc/g. Furthermore, the method for producing the silky textured polyester yarn is to provide a drawn yarn of the cation-dyeable polyester multifilament yarn containing 1.0-2.0mol% 5-sodium sulfoisophthalic acid component, then pass the drawn yarn over the top surface of a hot pin in contact therewith at 10-20% relaxation ratio, apply unevenness of heat treatment among single filaments, subsequently heat-treat the resultant yarn under relaxed conditions and develop crimps. The resultant yarn has 1-5% shrinkage factor in boiling water and 2-6cc/g bulkiness degree.
