    Abstract: Disclosed are hemodialysis membrane and hemodialysis method. The membrane has a total protein permeability of not more than 0.2%, and has a reduction rate of .beta.2-microglobulin of not less than 5%. The hemodialysis membrane selectively removes .beta.2microglobulin which was shown to cause some long-term complications such as carpal tunnel syndrome in the patients undergoing hemodialysis, while preventing the leakage of useful proteins.
