    Abstract: PURPOSE:To stably obtain the subject hot-pressed material having high strength an modulus and stable quality and useful as hightenacity fiber, etc., by forming a conjugate fiber from a liquid crystal resin and other resin, collecting the fibers and hotpressing the collected bundle at a temperature above a specific level. CONSTITUTION:The objective hot-pressed material can be produced by carrying out conjugate spinning of (A) a liquid crystal resin as the 1st resin and (B) a second resin, collecting obtained conjugate fibers and hot-pressing the collected fiber aggregate at a temperature above the softening point of the component B. It is preferable to carry out the hot-pressing at or above the softening point of the component B after heat-treatment of the collected fiber aggregate at >=(Tm-10 deg.C) (Tm is melting point of the component A) and the component A is preferably a resin having a melting point higher than that of the component B by 10 deg.C, especially a liquid crystal polyester or a liquid crystal polyester amide.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composite material having high strength, high modulus of elasticity and good slipperiness free from interfacial delamination by forming a fibrous structure of thermoplastic liquid crystal resin in a fluororesin. CONSTITUTION:A composite material of resin which comprises at least a thermoplastic liquid crystal resin and a thermoplastic fluororesin wherein the thermoplastic liquid crystal resin forms a fibrous structure in the fluororesin. The diameter of the fibrous material of the thermoplastic liquid crystal resin is =10 aspect ratio. A liquid crystal polyester or liquid crystal polyester amide is used as the liquid crystal resin. Tetrafluoroethylene, polyfluoroalkoxyethylene, etc., are used as the fluororesin.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a composite fiber capable of generating ultrafine fibers, containing a specific copolymerized polyamide as at least one component of the composite fiber and containing a component easily removable from the fiber to give a solution free from environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION:A copolymerized polyamide containing 30-80wt% constituent unit consisting of (A) a polyoxyethylene having an amino group or carboxyl group at a terminal of a polyether segment having a molecular weight 200-2,000 and (B) an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid or aliphatic diamine is used as at least one component of the objective composite fiber. The component can be easily dissolved in a removal liquid produced by adding a small amount of an anionic surfactant to water.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a TLCP molded product having high conductivity, high heat resistance and high mechanical strength, by bonding a conductive inorg. substance to the surface of a molded product composed of specific liquid crystal polyallylate or polyesteramide having a mesogen group in the main chain thereof. CONSTITUTION:A molded product is composed of TLCP (liquid crystal polyallylate or polyesteramide) having a mesogen group in the main chain thereof and a conductive inorg. substance is bonded to the surface of the molded product and TLCP has no exothermic peak based on melting at 200 deg.C or more when the polymer is measured by a differential scanning calorimeter sealed by nitrogen. Herein, X and Y are a terminal group such as an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a cyano group and A-B is a unit 2. As the conductive inorg. substance, tin oxide is especially pref. and the bonding amount thereof is at least 0.1wt.% or more and the film thickness thereof is 0.1mum or more.
