    Abstract: PURPOSE:The titled sheet having improved surface smoothness and flexibility, by jetting a high-speed fluid flow to a sheet of conjugated fiber of extremely thin fiber-forming type comprising components having different solvent solubility and softening point, hot-pressing it, providing it with a resin, hot-pressing it, and removing the component, successively. CONSTITUTION:At least one side of a sheet of multiple component fiber of extremely thin fiber-forming type comprising two components having different solvent solubility and softening points especially (preferably sea-island type fiber having a low softening component as the sea component) is sprayed with a high- speed fluid flow so that the fiber is split and entangled (i), hot-pressed at a temperature higher than the softening point of the low-softening component and lower than that of the high-softening component (ii), provided with (solid content), preferably solution or dispersion of a resin (preferably polyurethane elastomer) on the pressed face (iii0, the impregnated face is hot- pressed by the carving face or smooth face (iv), and the component softened by the process (ii0 is dissolved and removed (v).
