    Abstract: PURPOSE: To continuously produce a fiber-filled material to simply and easily obtain a long-sized cushion material by feeding mixed raw fibers, containing thermal-fusing fibers into a filling chamber together with an air current, heaping the mixed raw fibers while being allowed to collide with a shield body, guiding this heaped fiber lamp into a heat treatment chamber and integrating them. CONSTITUTION: Short fibers and thermal-fusing fibers are mixed by an opening and scutching machine and/or carding machine, and spread staple fibers are fed through a duct 1 and a fan 2 to a staple fiber supply port 3. A filling chamber 4 is disposed proximately to the staple fiber supply port 3, and filled material 8 is formed by being pressed and deposited here. Belt conveyers 5 and 5' are arranged in the filling chamber 4, and belt conveyers 7 and 7' are arranged in a heat treatment chamber 6 disposed proximately to the downstream of the filling chamber 4. The heat treatment chamber 6 has a heater, the filled material 8 is uniformly heated to the inside, and the mixed thermal-fusing staple fibers are fused by heating. A belt conveyer 9 is disposed on the downstream side of the heat treatment chamber 6, and the band-shaped filled material 8 is sent to the next process while being cut into any suitable length or is rolled up into package.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a packed fiber durable to the use over a long period and produced by laminating thin webs composed mainly of short fibers, by specifying the repeated average compressibility to a specific level or above. CONSTITUTION:A packed fiber material 1 is produced by stacking a number of small-sized thin webs 2 each composed of a number of short fibers. The short fibers are randomly arranged in the plane of the thin web and arranged along the laminar direction of the thin web in the direction projected to the plane view or side view. The repeated average compressibility of the packed fiber material 1 is made to be >=85%.
