[Also in Division B1] The nucleus of aromatics is hydrogenated at 50-300‹ C. in the presence of a catalyst containing 2-60% Ni, Fe, Co or Cn, 2-80% NaF or an alkaline earth metal fluoride and 12-96% SiO 2 or Al 2 O 3 . Specified aromatics are benzene, toluene, xylene, trimethyl benzene, tetramethylbenzene, pentamethyl benzene, ethyl benzene, n-propyl benzene, cumene, n-butyl benzene, t-butyl benzene, pregnene, 1: 3: 5-triethyl benzene, styrene, diphenyl methane, indene, naphthalene and methyl naphthalene. Examples describe the preparation of cyclohexane, methylcyclohexane, dimethylcyclohexane and ethyl cyclohexane.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance deodorizing and drying capacity and make it easy to regenerate as well as make it possible to use a deodorizing dryer repeatedly for a long period by a method wherein an electric heater is arranged in a container having air passing holes and particulate zeolite is filled around the electric heater. CONSTITUTION:A container is constituted from a container main body 4 and a container cover 6 having air passing holes 5 and an electric heater 1 is provided in this container so as to be connected to AC electric source by a cord and particulate zeolite 7 is filled around said electric heater 1. When said zeolite is used as a conventional deodorizing agent and a drying agent, said electric heater 1 is not operated and maintained in a nonheating condition. In case of reactivating said zeolite, said electric heater 1 is connected to AC electric source while said zeolite is filled and said zeolite is heated by the electric heater 1 to carry out the reactivation thereof. The heating by the electric heater 1 is pref. carried out at 80-120 deg.C for 30-3hr. As a container, is pref. used a container made from a metal or the like having many air passing holes with a diameter of 1-3mm. provided to a periphery thereof.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain superior strength and a superior powdering degree by using natural zeolite powder having a specified particle size and adding a specified amount of alumina sol or kaolin type clay when natural zeolite powder is kneaded and wet granulated by extrusion. CONSTITUTION:Natural zeolite such as mordenite or clinoptilolite is pulverized to powder >=80% of which passes through a 100-mesh screen. To the powder is added alumina sol or kaolin type clay by 1-15pts.wt. on the dry basis, and they are kneaded together with water and granulated by extrusion with an extruder to obtain moldings. The moldings are dried and calcined as required.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a regenerable deodorizing drying agent of which the lowering of the activity can be easily confirmed by dispersing silica gel contg. blue cobalt throughout the zeolite particle aggregates acting as a deodorizing drying agent. CONSTITUTION:If silica gel contg. blue cobalt is dispersed on a part or all of zeolite particle aggregates, which is a main component of a deodorizing drying agent, a color tone wherein blue color is dispersed on the almost white zeolite particles is obtained. If this colored deodorizing drying agent is placed in an appropriate place the deodorizing drying effect is gradually lowered, and the blue color of silica gel is changed to pink. Thereby, the lowering of the activity is detected by the color change. The reactivating treatment such as heating or the like is then carried out.

PURPOSE:To manufacture a deodorant which is hardly pulverized by the contact of particles with each other, improved in breaking strength, and is suitable for use in a refrigerator etc., by forming round zeolite-contg. particles of specific diameter, having no corners. CONSTITUTION:Powdered zeolite is kneaded, if necessary together with a binder, to form pellets, then the pellets are shaped into round particles contg. zeolite, 0.8- 10mm. in diameter, having no corners, by means of a granulating machine etc., and is dried. The particle has breaking strength of 0.3-5.0kg. The particles are filled in a vessel having vent holes or slits and are used as a deodorant for use in a refrigerator etc.
