    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve handleability in the production process of a magnetic recording card by forming a magnetic recording layer on one surface of a polyester film and forming a printing layer on a laminated layer film of the other surface, and controlling the half-life of surface chargedecay on the printing layer side. SOLUTION: The half-life of the surface charge decay on the printing layer side of a magnetic recording card is specified as being 30 sec or less, more preferably 0 to 15 sec, and most preferably 0 to 1 sec. For develop this function, an antistatic property is given to the laminated layer film formed on at least one surface of a polyester film. The laminated layer film is formed on the surface of the polyester film where the printing layer is to be formed, a laminated layer film may also may or may not be formed on the opposite surface where the magnetic recording layer is to be formed. The laminated layer to be formed on the opposite surface, where the magnetic recording layer is formed may be substantially the same laminated film as or a different laminated film from the laminated film formed on the printing layer side.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain excellent charging prevention property and printing characteristic by providing, to at least single surface of a polyester film, a laminated film having the charging prevention property and the surface pH value within the particular range. SOLUTION: A laminated film has the surface specific resistance under 1×1012 Ω/(square) at 23 deg.C and relative humidity of 65%. The laminated film is required to have the surface pH of 4 or more and 10 or less. As the method of satisfying the surface pH while assuring charging prevention property, it is preferable to introduce a method for adding the charging prevention agent to the laminated film. As the charging prevention agent, for example, ionic polymer, interface activation agent, conductive inorganic fine particle, conductive organic fine particle, inorganic electrolyte and organic complex salt are used. Among these, the ionic polymer as the copolymer having the ionic group in the main chain or side chain is preferable from the viewpoint of the charging prevention property, miscibility with other compound and coating property. As the other composite resin, aclyric resin or polyester resin are selected from the point of view of bonding property.

Such polyester is preferable to be one having ethyleneterephthalate as a principal component in particular, and further preferable to be polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate having superior heat resistance or rigidity in use where heat is affected to the base material or in use where resin is shrunk during curing period such as UV ray curable resin. A thickness of the polyester film is suitable to be 1-500 μm in terms of mechanical strength, a handling property, etc.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet adhesion durability, an antistatic property, and water resistance with a polyester resin simultaneously by forming a resin layer of a polystylenesulfonic acid metal salt and a polyester resin each having a specific weight ratio on a polyester film. SOLUTION: A polystylenesulfonic acid metal salt is an alkaline metal salt (Li, Na, K, or the like) of polystylenesulfonic acid and an alkaline earth metal salt (Mg, Ca, Ba, or the like), in particular, is preferable to be an alkaline metal salt. Also, a polyester resin is available in one having an ester combination in a main chain and side chain, and obtained by making a condensation polymerization of an acid component and a glycol component. A weight ratio of polyester sulfonic acid metal A and polyester B, i.e., a solid weight ratio of A/B is made 0.05-1, preferably, 0.1-0.65, more preferably, 0.2-0.45. If the ratio is too small, an antistatic property or water resistance become short, on the contrary, if it is large, adhesion durability or water resistance become short.

SOLUTION: In a process for manufacturing a polyester film, a laminated film forming coating in which at least one resin selected from acrylic resins, polyester resins and urethane resins is a main constituent ingredient is applied on at least one face of the polyester film before crystallization orientation is completed and then, it is drawn in at least one direction and is heat-treated and thereafter, electrical discharge machining is applied on the laminated film under nitrogen atmosphere to manufacture the laminated polyester film with a waterdrop contact angle on the surface of the laminated film of at least 50 degree.
