Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To purify water, by integrally forming aggregate at least partly constituted of carriers coated with microbes with a binder and specifying the property and the burning temperature. SOLUTION: A surface layer 1 composed of aggregate constituted of ceramic particles or the like and a base layer 2 as an organism-adhering carrier composed of aggregate such as sand, porous ceramic, for instance, are burned at 800-1250 deg.C with a sintering binder such as cement to integrally form them and constitute a water-permeable block. Then, aggregate as an organism-adhering carrier is porous and has a water-absorbing rate of 5-50% to increase the coating function of microbes and also secures the strength. The water-permeable block has 10-45% void, 1×10 cm/sec or more permeability coefficient basing on JIS A-1218, 85-97% water retension rate to the void. And the block simultaneously satisfies the strength, the water permeable function, and the water retentive function to sufficiently bring out the water-purifying function. In this way, organic materials can be decomposed and nutritious salts can be removed by the microbes stuck on the block, and soil and underground water can be prevented from pollution.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently and economically coat the inner surface of a pipe to be coated without generating the wastefulness of a coating soln. or paint or leaving an uncoated part by a method wherein the coating soln. or paint is emitted from the leading end of a coating soln. pipe in a foamed state and the coating soln. pipe and/or the pipe to be coated is moved to bring the foamed coating soln. or paint into contact with the inner surface of the pipe to be coated to perform coating. CONSTITUTION:In coating the inner surface of a pipe 1 to be coated, at first a coating soln. pipe 2 is passed through the pipe 1 to be coated to expose the leading end of the pipe 2 from the leading end of the pipe 1 to be coated. Subsequently, air is sent into a coating soln 4 from a blow nozzle 5 and the surface of the coating soln. 4 is foamed to form foamy matter 6 which is, in turn, sent to the coating soln. pipe 2 under pressure. After it is confirmed that the coating soln. 4 formed into the foamy matter 6 is emitted from the leading end of the coating soln. pipe 2, the coating soln. pipe 2 is moved toward base end of the pipe 1 to be coated at a proper speed while the coating soln. 4 formed into the foamy matter 6 is emitted from the leading end of the coating soln. pipe. Whereupon, the foamy matter 6 successively fills the pipe 1 to be coated and comes into contact with the inner wall of the pipe 1 to be defoamed to coat the inner wall of the pipe 1.

Abstract: A composite sliding member with reduced friction is provided by integrating a woven fabric containing inherently non-sticky fluorine fiber fabric to the surface of a resin sliding member, which member has improved adhesion and retains its low friction, durability, and abrasion resistance even under the strong force applied during the sliding. The composite sliding member comprises a combination of a fiber woven fabric 3 and a resin member 4, and the fiber woven fabric 3 is a multilayer woven fabric having front surface layer 1 serving as a sliding surface and rear surface layer 2 adhered to the resin member 4, the front surface layer 1 mainly comprising a fluororesin fiber 5 and the rear surface layer 2 mainly comprising heat resistant fibers 6, 7, and 8. When a cross-section of the composite sliding member crossing the fiber woven fabric 3, the resin member 4, and their composite interface is observed, one heat resistant fiber A of such heat resistant fibers 8 at a position adjacent to the resin member 4 with no intervening other heat resistant fiber 7 in this cross-section is observed, and ratio of number of monofilaments in the heat resistance fiber A not in close contact with the resin constituting the resin member 4 or adjacent monofilaments in relation to number of all monofilaments constituting the heat resistance fiber A is designated R1, R1 is in the range of 0 to 70%.
