Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent leak of fluid, by a method wherein a disc can be reciprocated within a cylinder by a trace distance, and a hollow columnar space, formed between a cylinder and a rotor, forms a pressure chamber. CONSTITUTION:Discs 41 and 42 and a rotor 40 are situated in a cylinder 90 to form a rotary valve 100. The disc 41 and 42 are in a manner to be firmly adhered to the inner surface of the cylinder 90 and the disc 42 is situated so that it can reciprocate within the cylinder by a trace distance. A space, formed by the disc 42, the cylinder 90, and a partition wall 101, and a hollow columnar space, formed by the rotor 40 and the cylinder 90, are formed as pressure chambers 102 and 103, respectively. This constitution enables completely perfect prevention of leak of fluid past a contact surface between the disc and the rotor.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance the air-tight sealability of a valve for quantitatively transferring a granular material, by stabilizing the load balance of rotary discs formed therein with opening holes. CONSTITUTION:A rotary member consists of three discs 4 through 6 and a rotary shaft, each disc being formed therein with two opening holes 1, 1', 2, 2', 3, 3' within its radial range. Cylindrical chambers 81 through 88, 91 through 98 have their top and bottoms opened, and are in a sector-like shape. These cylindrical chambers 81 through 88, 91 through 98 are 4n in number where n is the number of the opening holes formed in each disc and is an integer greater than 2. Since the holes are formed in each disc 4 through 6 in an integer number more than 2, the load balance subjected thereto during rotation, is stabilized. Further, spaces 13, 13' are always defined due to the upper cylindrical chamber of a volume larger than that of the lower one, and therefore, the clearance between the intermediate disc 5 and the lower cylindrical chambers 91 through 98 may be minimum, thereby the air-tight sealability thereof is satisfied.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent an occurrence of a local wear by a method wherein a grooved guide is provided so as to reciprocate along a linear cutting part formed by a fixed blade and a rotating blade, and a drive means for reciprocating the grooved guide is connected to the grooved guide. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of strands 7 being supplied are arranged in a line by passing through grooves of a grooved guide 8a. The strands 7 in an arranged state are guided to a feed roller 1, fed to a cutting part 10 by the feed roller 1, and cut into pellets 6 of a predetermined length by a rotating blade 3 and a fixed blade 4. At this time, the grooved guide 8a is reciprocated along the linear cutting part 10 by a predetermined amount by a drive means 11. With this reciprocating movement, the respective strands 7 passing through the grooves of the grooved guide 8a are also reciprocated at a time. The feed roller 1 and the cutting blades 3, 4 are used at fixed local positions in a prior art, but, in this manner, uniformly and effectively used over the substantially full areas. As a result, an occurrence of a local wear is prevented, and a life is extended to a great extent.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To carry out continous and smooth polycondensation without suspending omega-amino acid powder in water, by surrounding powder of a polyamide- forming material comprising a specified omega-amino acid with an inert gas, melting the powder and condensing it by heating. CONSTITUTION:Powder of a polyamide-forming material comprising 11-aminoundecanoic acid and/or 12-aminododecanoic acid is surrounded with an inert gas, by placing the powder in a vessel and purging the air within the vessel with an inert gas to fill the spaces among the particles with the inert gas. Preferably, this operation is carried out in a separate vessel before feeding the powder to a vessel 1. Then, the powder 4 is fed from an inlet 5 to the vessel 1 and the powder filled within the vessel 1 is pushed into a melting chamber 3 by a piston 2, whereby the powder 4 is fed to the melting chamber without being accompanied by liquid and molten therein. Then, the molten powder is gathered on the bottom 18 and passed through a passage 19 to a polycondensation reactor where it is polycondensed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce troubles occuring in operation for a long time by making excellent sliding motions of both the surface and the rod placed in the relation of the sliding movement with each other. CONSTITUTION:In a mechanism wherein the lateral surface of the rod 2 moves on the surface 1 while shaking and rotating with pressure contact with the surface 1, a cylindrical body 3 for the rod is put around the column-shaped rod 2 through the intermediary of a bearing 4 and concentrically to the rod 2. Moreover a pillar body 6 for surface which contacts with the above cylindrical body 3, has a shape of the pillar and is rotatable is provided in contact with the surface 1 so that an axis 5 and an axis 7 cross each other projectingly. By this, such troubles as the unsmooth motion of the rod at a high-speed operation or a long-term operation and an abrasion between the rod and the surface of a wall are reduced and thus smooth operation can be continued.
