    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject nonantimony-based catalyst having the same degree of catalytic actions as those of an antimony compound or higher than that by condensation polymerization during a polyester synthesis, by specifying the orbital energy of a minimum nonoccupation molecular orbit. SOLUTION: This catalyst is an organic ligand-containing metal complex compound. The orbital energy of a minimum nonoccupation molecular orbit localized on a metal atom obtained by molecular orbit calculation is 0.2-2.5 V.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve handling property and yield of a sound insulating and vibration damping material having a large area by sticking a porous support body formed of a thermoplastic resin fiber to a piezoelectric film. SOLUTION: A porous support body 2 formed of a thermoplastic resin fiber is stuck to a piezoelectric film 1. The porous support body 2 formed of the thermoplastic resin fiber is stuck to the piezoelectric film 1 having a metal thin film on at least its one face. A piezoelectric constant d31 of the piezoelectric film 1 is preferably 6×10 C/N or above, or its piezoelectric constant e31 is preferably 2mC/m or above. The piezoelectric constant d31 here expresses a ratio between an electric charge and stress to be generated on the surface of the film incident to a stress when it is added in the direction of the inner face of the film. The piezoelectric constant e31 expresses a ratio between an electric charge and a strain to be generated on the surface of the film incident to a strain when it is generated in the direction of the inner face of the film.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel excellent in sound-insulating properties by polarizing a molding made from a polyamide nm(in which n and m are each an odd number) in an electric field of a specified intensity to cause the molding to have a specified residual polarization. SOLUTION: A dicarboylic acid component (e.g. 1,7-heptanedicarboxylic acid) and a diamine component (e.g. an aq. 1,9-nonamethylenediammoniuym soln.) are copolymerized in the presence of a polymn. modifier (e.g. acetic acid) at a predetermined temp. under pressure and then the pressure is removed. The resultant polyamide nm (in which n and m are each an odd number) is taken out, dried, and extruded through an extruder to give a sheet, which is cooled and solidified on a metal roll and stretched oat room temp. to give a stretched film. The film is polarized in an electric field of 100V/μm or higher to give a polyamide molding having a residual polarization of 45mC/m or higher. The molding 1 is laminated on a porous substrate 2 made from thermoplastic resin fibers, then laminated rock wool 4, and inserted into between plastic boards 3, thus giving a sound-insulating panel.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject film capable of expressing an excellent Young's modulus, an excellent strength, excellent thermal contraction, good orientability, etc., and useful in the fields of magnetic recording media, photographic films, printing films, etc., by orienting a non-oriented film containing polyethylene terephthalate having a specific density as a main component. SOLUTION: This polyethylene terephthalate film is obtained by orienting (A) a non-oriented film [e.g. a film having a constant pressure specific heat of 330-360 J/(K.mol) at 360K] containing polyethylene terephthalate as a main component and having a density of 1.2-1.335 at 25 deg.C under a condition of 1 atm in a longitudinal direction or in a width direction. The film is preferably obtained by orienting the component A at an orientation temperature of [glass transition temperature (Tg)-50] deg.C to (Tg-100) deg.C in the prescribed direction in one stage or in multi-stages so as to give a total orientation ratio of 3-15 times and subsequently orienting the film in a direction rectangular to the first direction in one stage or in multi-stages so as to give the total orientation ratio of 3-15 times.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize a film having high sensitivity by setting heating shrinkage factor at a specific temperature to longitudinal and lateral directions of specific ranges, and setting its thickness to a specific value or less. CONSTITUTION:A raw material containing crystalline polypropylene as a main ingredient is supplied to an extruder, heated to be melted, passed through a filter, then melted to be extruded from a slitlike base at 220-320 deg.C, and cooled to be solidified, thereby forming an unoriented film. This film is thermally shrinked to 5 to less than 15% of thermal shrinkage factor in both longitudinal and lateral directions at 140 deg.C, then oriented in thickness to 3mum or less, then heat treated at 80-140 deg.C, cooled and then wound. Thus, the film having high sensitivity can be manufactured, and the film is used to process a printing step in a short time.
