    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a woven or knitted fabric comprising a hollow structure yarn having both stretchability and a sense of lightness by elasticity of a spiral aggregate, by forming a hollow structure of cavity form by an aggregate of multifilament. SOLUTION: This woven or knitted fabric comprises a spiral multifilament aggregate obtained by twisting conjugate multifilament yarns in which the central part of the aggregate has a cavity structure in the length direction of yarns. The conjugate multifilament yarns are of a high shrinkage stress type, are usable as a composite yarn by combining the yarns with another yarn such as a false twist textured yarn. After the conjugate multifilament yarns are woven or knitted, the woven or knitted fabric is subjected to relaxing wet heat treatment to form a cavity structure at the central part in the longer direction of yarn.
