Abstract: PURPOSE:A polyamide composition that is prepared by adding an imidazole compound and copper to polyamide as nylon 6, thus being used for industrial material as tire or belt reinforcing because of its high heat stability. CONSTITUTION:To polyamide as nylon 6 are added 0.01-1wt% of an imidazole compound of the fomula (R is H, alkyl of 4 or less carbon atoms) as 2-mercapto- 4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzimidazole or 1-alkyl-2-mercapto-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzimidazole wherein the alkyl is methyl to butyl and 0.001-0.1wt%, preferably 0.003- 0.03wt%, based on copper element, of a copper compond as the halide, preferably iodide. In this case, preferably the copper compound is previously made to reacted with the imidazole compound and added to the polyamide in the form of halide copper complex.

Abstract: PURPOSE:A finishing oil composition containing a specific lubricant and emulsifier in a specified proportion is applied to thermoplastic synthetic yarns, thus lowering the fume evolution during drawing without adverse effect on the lubricancy and adhesion to rubber to produce title synthetic fibers used for tire cords. CONSTITUTION:A finishing oil composition obtained by mixing (A) a lubricant consisting of a mono- and/or diesters from thiodipropionic acid and monohydric 10-18C alcohol ethylene and/or propylene oxide adduct and (B) an emulsifier consisting of (a) reaction products between higher fatty acids, polyhydric alcohols and polyethylene glycol and/or polypropylene glycol and (b) ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide adduct to castor oil or hardened castor oil at a A/B ratio of 4/1- 2/3 is applied to the surface of thermoplastic synthetic fibers and the fibers are dry drawn with heat and heat set.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To bond strongly synthetic fibers to a rubber even if the fiber is contaminated with oil, by treating the fibers with a reactive adhesive comprising a compound having a specific reactive functional group, e.g. isocyanate group, etc., thereafter by treating with a rubber cement. CONSTITUTION:Preferably 0.05 - 5 wt.% of a reactive adhesive consisting mainly of a compound (derivative) having a reactive functional group selected from an active isocyanate group, blocked isocyanate groups, an ethylene urea group, an ethylene urethane group and an epoxy group, is applied to synthetic fibers, e.g. nylon-6, etc.. The fibers are impregnated with a treating solution of a rubber cement, and coated with the cement preferably in an amount of 5 - 20 wt.%. Thermal treatment is preferably applied after each treatment with the treating solution.

Abstract: PURPOSE:The title detergent capable of cleaning the equipment without stopping, having improved slipperiness and a high boiling point, comprising a polyhydric alcohol, KOH, K2O, and a potassium salt in water. CONSTITUTION:(B) 20-400 parts by wt. of a polyhydric alcohol having a boiling point of 190 deg.C or above is incorporated with (C) 5-380 parts by wt. of KOH, K2O, and/or a potassium salt, preferably K2CO3, and (A) 100 parts by wt. of water. A higher fatty acid, etc. may be incorporated to improve the slipperiness, if necessary. EFFECT:Synergistic effects of slipperiness and high boiling points provide the maximum detergency particularly in contact with a rotating roller.

Abstract: PURPOSE:A specific compound is incorporated to the finishing oil for spinning, thus reducing the evolution of mist when heated on heat drawing or treating without any adverse effect on the smoothness of fiber and adhesion to rubber. CONSTITUTION:Said finishing oil consists of (A) a diester from thiodipropionic acid and a monohydric alcohol of 12-18C carbon atoms as the lubricant and (B) a reaction product from three components, a higher fatty acid, a polyhydric alcohol and a polyalkylene glycol as the emulsifier, where the ratio of A/B is 4/1-2/3. The fibers finished with oil, when heated, evolves reduced amounts of mist to improve the working environment. Further, the heaters are not stained, the yarn break on drawing lessens, and the emulsion stability of the oil composition also is good.
