PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightning arrester with high insulation reliability even when it is downsized.SOLUTION: A lightning arrester A comprises: a cylindrical insulation vessel 1 inside of which is filled with insulating gas 2; an internal element 3 formed by laminating a plurality of nonlinear resistors housed in the insulation vessel 1; a ground-side fixed electrode 4 which is provided on one end of the insulation vessel 1 and is electrically connected to the internal element 3; and a high voltage-side fixed electrode 5 which is provided on the other end of the insulation vessel 1 and is electrically connected to the internal element 3. At least part of the inner peripheral surface of the insulation vessel 1 is coated with nonlinear resistance coating 7, and the ground-side fixed electrode 4 and the high voltage-side fixed electrode 5 are electrically connected to each other via the nonlinear resistance coating 7. In addition, a portion in the vicinity of the high voltage-side fixed electrode 5 of the insulation vessel 1 may be formed into a shape along an electric line of force from the high voltage-side fixed electrode 5.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind-power generation apparatus with a relatively simple lightning protection system that makes a lightning strike current upon lightning flow to the ground surface without breaking a blade nor entering a support column side including a nacelle.SOLUTION: A wind-power generation apparatus 1 includes a support column 3 provided fixedly on the ground, a nacelle 4 which has at least a rotor of a power generator inside and is mounted on a top of the support column, blades 2a, 2b, and 2c for rotating the rotor provided in the nacelle 4 by wind force, and a hub 5 which connects the blades 2a, 2b, and 2c and the rotary shaft of the rotor. Further, while a metal material layer 6 and a nonlinear resistance material layer 7 are formed alternately on surfaces of the blades 2a, 2b, and 2c partially in contact to each other and the metal material layer 6 is arranged at tip parts of the blades 2a, 2b, and 2c, a nonlinear resistance material layer 7 is arranged at a part adjoining the hub 5.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current-voltage nonlinear resistor having an excellent maximum energy characteristic and the manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A current-voltage nonlinear resistor 10 provided with a sintered body 20 obtained by compressively molding granulation powder obtained from slurry having a mixture containing zinc oxide as a main component, and bismuth oxide, antimony oxide, manganese oxide, cobalt oxide and nickel oxide as accessory components to form a compact, and sintering the compact. The average particle diameter (median particle diameter D) of the mixture is ≤0.4 μm, a hydrogen ion exponent of the slurry is 6.5 to 8.5, and porosity in the sintered body is ≤4%.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current-voltage non-linear resistor which can be designed to have a high resistance and is excellent in a non-linear resistance characteristic, energy tolerance and thermostability, and the production process of the same. SOLUTION: A current-voltage non-linear resistor 10 includes a sintered body 20 of a mixture whose chief constituent is zinc oxide and including as auxiliary constituents at least bismuth (Bi), antimony (Sb), manganese (Mn), cobalt (Co) and nickel (Ni). Also, the average grain size of the mixture is no more than 0.4 μm; and the average grain size of the zinc oxide grains in the sintered body 20 is no more than 7.5 μm and the standard deviation based on the grain size distribution of zinc oxide grains in the sintered body 20 is no more than 15% of the average grain size of the zinc oxide grains. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric apparatus which can be enhanced in reliability than before, by decreasing the possibility of penetration breakage in an electric insulation layer resulting from a separation occurring between an electrode and the electric insulation layer. SOLUTION: On the disconnector 2 provided in the metal container 1 of a gas-insulated switching apparatus, a movable side electrode 2a and a fixed side electrode 2b are disposed so as to oppose with each other through an insulation gas. Metal electric field relax shields 3a, 3b for relaxing the electric field between electrodes are attached to the movable side electrode 2a and the fixed side electrode 2b. First electric insulation layers 4a, 4b formed of electrically insulating organic polymers containing sintered powder of zinc oxide, wherein the content of the sintered power of zinc oxide is 40 to 80 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the electrically insulating organic polymers, are disposed on the surface of a high electric field at each tip or in the vicinity thereof. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage nonlinear resistor which can have an excellent current/voltage nonlinear characteristic, a life characteristic and surge energy resistance, can improve thermal stability at high temperatures, and can contribute to the miniaturization of an overvoltage protection device. SOLUTION: A sintered compact 1 contains ZnO not smaller than 95 mol% as its main component. The compact also contains, as its sub components, 0.3-1 mol% of Bi 2 O 3 , 0.5-2.5 mol% of Sb 2 O 3 , 0.3-1.5 mol% of Co 2 O 3 , 0.2-2 mol% of MnO, and 0.5-3 mol% of NiO when Bi, Sb, Co, Mn and Ni are converted to Bi 2 O 3 , Sb 2 O 3 , Co 2 O 3 , MnO and NiO, respectively. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent mechanical strength at high temperatures, to keep electric resistance low in a weld area and to make the wear of a contact point smaller. SOLUTION: The welded body of different kinds of metal materials is composed of a contact point member 1 consisting of a CuW alloy into which at least one metal material having a melting point higher than that of Cu is added and a conductor 3 consisting of Cu or an alloy whose main component is Cu. A layer 2 consisting of Cu or a Cu alloy is interposed between the welding surfaces of both members, and the members are welded to a single body. In the contact point member 1 consisting of the CuW alloy, W powder is preliminary calcined and Cu particles are infiltrated. When the Cu particles are infiltrated, particles consisting of Cu or the Cu alloy are infiltrated, and the layer 2 is formed simultaneously.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonlinear resistor where a varistor voltage VlmA can be reduced, the size can be enlarged by increasing the thickness, breakdown discharging current rated characteristic is superior. SOLUTION: In a nonlinear resistor, whose main component is zinc oxide, bismuth and titanium are contained as sub-component, at least either one of lead or tellurium is contained, and a varistor voltage VlmA is set to 15-160 V/mm. Contents of bismuth and titanium are set to 0.1-5.0 mol%, respectively, if these are converted into bismuth oxide (Bi2O3) and titanium oxide (TiO2). Contents of lead and tellurium when these are contained as sub-component are set 0.001-3.0 mol%, respectively, when these are converted into PbO and TeO2. It is preferable that at least one kind of component selected from a group composed of cobalt, manganese, nickel and aluminum is contained as a sub-component, and at least either component of silver or boron is contained.
