Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make air conditioning equipment contribute to an improvement in a feeling of comfortableness for the whole period. SOLUTION: In air conditioning equipment having an indoor machine which comprises upper and lower outlets 6 and 12 provided above and below an inlet 4, heat exchangers 19 and 20 provided between these outlets 6 and 12 and the inlet 4 and upper and lower fans 17 and 18 provided between these heat exchangers and the upper and lower outlets 6 and 12 and is disposed in the vicinity of a floor in the use, a control device 32 controlling the quantities of blowing air from the upper and lower outlets 6 and 12 so that the quantities may correspond to a form of operation is provided. At the time when the form of operation is a heating operation, the control device 32 makes blowing of air started from the lower outlet 12 from the time point when the temperature of the heat exchangers 19 and 20 reaches a prescribed level, at the time of the start of the operation, and makes the blowing of air started also from the upper outlet 6 at the time point when a first condition is reached after the start of the operation, and it executes a control for shifting to a specified form of control of blowing, subsequently, from the time point when a second condition is reached.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an air conditioner that materializes a rapid heating and contributes to the comfort. SOLUTION: Prior to the start-up of heating operation, a controller 9 controls preheating of a heat-accumulating device 4 and then sets a throttling mechanism 5 and a flow control mechanism 7 in open state and an outdoor fan provided on an outdoor heat exchanger 6 in stopped state. Refrigerant sealed in a refrigerating cycle is compressed by a compressor 1 and turned to high pressure, high temperature gas and reaches an indoor heat exchanger 3 via a four-way valve 2. The refrigerant liquefies in the indoor heat exchanger 3 and enters the heat accumulating device 4 where the refrigerant gasifies completely. The gas refrigerant flows out the heat accumulating device 4 and directly enters a suction cup 8 of the compressor 1 via a refrigerant pipe 10a, the flow control mechanism 7 and a refrigerant pipe 10b.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a decrease in cooling/heating performance to become a problem when non-azeotropic mixture refrigerant is used and to improve heat transfer performance and the cooling/heating performance of an indoor heat exchanger at the time of cooling and heating. CONSTITUTION:A first pass 33 of a plurality of rows of tubes which are arranged on the same fin of an indoor heat exchanger 3 and in which non- azeotropic mixture refrigerant flows is so arranged that the refrigerant flows in a direction directed from a leeward side to a windward side of an indoor blower 7 at the time of a cooling cycle. Thus, a counterflow is realized. A second pass 34 is so arranged that the refrigerant flow in a direction directed from a windward side to a leeward side. Since it is near a parallel flow but number of the tubes at the leeward side is more than that of the tubes at the windward side and number of the tubes superposed on an air flow is less, relatively effective heat transfer can be obtained. Further, a third pass 35 is so arranged that the refrigerant flows in a direction directed from the windward side to the leeward side and further directed from the windward side to the leeward side so that a half becomes a counterflow, thereby improving heat transfer performance.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve cooling and heating capacities by forming a heat exchanger of a tube for feeding refrigerant or a tube and fins, and forming the tube in a shape for sequentially increasing a sectional area of refrigerant flow flowing in the tube along a flowing direction of the refrigerant. CONSTITUTION:An outdoor heat exchanger 5 is formed of a tube 13 bent continuously in an S shape and fins 15S. Latent heat of the air to be condensed to the par to pass through the fins 15 by a blower 17 of an outdoor unit is derived of refrigerant gas fed in a high temperature and high pressure gas state from a compressor 1 to become liquid state. The tube 13 is reduced in its inner diameter of an inlet side 13a and sequentially increased in its inner diameter toward an outlet side 13b. The tubes 13 molded in the same sectional area may be sequentially so increased in number of buses to two, three from the inlet side 13a to the outlet side 13b. Thus, cooling and heating capacities can be improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To achieve higher reliability by providing a judging means to deter mine the spillage of a refrigerant in detecting that a flow rate control means so arranged to vary the flow rate of the refrigerant in the refrigeration cycle by a direction from a controller is opened exceeding a fixed opening to detect the spillage of the refrigerant early and accurately. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus is provided with a compressor 1, a four-way valve 2, a room heat exchanger 3 and an electric type expansion valve 4 as flow rate control means. The opening of the electric type expansion valve 4 is controlled with a controller 6. In an airconditioning apparatus which has the electric type expansion valve 4 to vary the flow rate of a refrigerant in a refrigeration cycle by a direction from the controller 6, the opening of the electric type expansion valve 4 is adjusted so that it is controlled within a specified opening range at the development stage of a product. Thus, in the normal operation, the electric type expansion valve 4 operates properly as long as it is controlled within a specified opening range. When it is controlled outside the specified opening range any abnormality is determined to occur in a refrigeration cycle.
