PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of preventing unauthorized use of content data due to diffusion of crone cards. SOLUTION: A memory card 100 includes a memory 10, and a controller 20 which controls the memory10. The controller 20 possesses a controller key Kc and unique identification information SN, and is configured to generate a controller-unique key Kc unique for each controller 20 in accordance with the controller key Kc and the identification information SN. The memory 10 stores an MKB, and an encrypted device key set Enc (Kcu: Kds) generated by encrypting the device key set Kds with the controller-unique key Kcu. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk which eliminates a user's economical burden and the problem of environmental deterioration while taking advantage of an terminable disk. SOLUTION: A protective coat 24 is formed all over the optical disk 10 except a key data area 13. The protective coat 24 has a high light transmittance, and even if kept in an atmosphere including oxygen or moisture for a long term, it is not denaturalized. A denaturalized protective coat 25 is formed only above the key data area 13. Although the denaturalized protective coat 25 has a high light transmittance during a predetermined term after a vacuum packaging of disk is opened, the light transmittance reduces due to denaturation resulting from oxidization etc. after the predetermined term passes. After the predetermined time has passed, the light transmittance of the denaturalized protective coat 24 decreases and reading of enciphered title key data Kt recorded on the key data area 13 becomes impossible. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To warrant that recorded image data are not falsificated by editing after the recording, to allow the data to be freely browsed in the case of reproduction and to easily find out a falsification trace of the data. SOLUTION: A clock 101 of the image recording device outputs time information such as year/month/day/hour/minute/second, a composer 102 composites image information denoting the time information on part of an image of an input image signal, an encryption device 103 encrypts the composite image signal and records the result as a recording image of a TV broadcast program or the like. When the recorded image is reproduced, since the time information is composited on the reproduced image, time continuity is easily confirmed and it is warranted that the recorded image data are not falsificated by editing or the like after recording of the data.

PURPOSE:To minimize deterioration in picture quality due to a defective picture element by masking the picture element which has an image defect and compensating the masked picture element by the information on its peripheral picture elements. CONSTITUTION:This image display device formed by arraying plural picture elements 12 in a picture element area in two dimensions is provided with a transparent material layer 16 of an organic material on a glass substrate 15. On the picture element (picture element electrode) 1223 having the image defect (white flaw), a light shield material layer 18 containing, e.g. carbon is formed on the transparent material layer 16. Further, the flanks of a recessed part 17 is tapered as shown in a figure, and formed overlapping with the areas of the peripheral picture elements adjoining to the defective picture element 1223. The defective picture element is therefore masked with the light shielding material layer 18 and compensated by the information on its peripheral picture elements through the tapered flanks.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To transform a forecasting part and a quantizing part into a pipeline by quantizing a forecasted error signal after forecasting an input picture signal in a feedforward way. CONSTITUTION:A forecasting part 1 consists of a forecasting circuit 13 which forecasts the digitized input picture signal inputted via an input terminal 11 in a feedforward way and a subtractor 12 which obtains an forecasted error signal. While a quantizing part 3 consists of a subtractor 14 which obtains an error signal with subtraction of a delayed forecasted error signal and a period quantized signal, a quantizer 15 which quantizes the error signal, a computing element 16 which obtains a quantized error signal, and a forecasting circuit 17 which feeds the quantized error signal feedback to the subtractor 14 and produces a feedback quantized signal. The quantized error signal can be obtained directly from the error signal outputted from the subtractor 14 and therefore the arithmetic elements put into a feedback loop of the part 3 includes the subtractor 14, a POM 31, and the circuit 17. Then the working speed is increased.
