    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve joining performance and reduce lowering of operating characteristics and restrike characteristics by specifying heating/cooling speed in assembling. SOLUTION: In a heating process when the end part of an insulating container in which a pair of electrodes are arranged in such a state as freely contacted/separated with each other and a sealing metal which seals the insulating container with a lid body are joined together, they are heated at the temperature increase speed of 1-20 deg.C/min from work temperature of 600 deg.C to brazing. In a cooling process, they are cooled at the cooling speed of 0.5-30 deg.C/min from brazing work temperature to 400 deg.C. This process can optimize heating/cooling conditions in assembling and improve the joining performance of the end face of the insulating container with the sealing metal via a silver brazing material. Improving of joining strength after the joining treatment can reduce the lowering of the operation characteristics and restrike characteristics for a long period.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent drop of the re-arcing probability while the fusion deposit resistance is well maintained, by specifying the respective contents of Cr, Bi, Cu, and giving a specific dimension to Cr particles appearing at the contact section structure. CONSTITUTION:A Cu-Cr-Bi material for a contact of a vacuum valve is prepared so that the Cr content ranges 20-60wt.% and the Bi content corresponds to 0.05-1.0wt.% of the Cu content, and that a Cr particle appearing at the contact, section structure has a specific circumference ratio ranging 1.0-1.3, wherein the specific ratio means that of the actual circumferential length to the circumferential length of an ideal circle having the same area as the Cr particle section area. Thereby the withstand voltage and re-arcing probability can be obtained substantially the same as those of the Cu-Cr material for contacts while the fusion deposit resistance is well maintained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve a large-current breaking characteristic and exhaustion resistance by using alloy materials having a given composition, means particle diameter, and mean distance between particles. CONSTITUTION:A contact alloy is composed of a highly conductive component, consisting of Ag and/or Cu and having 25-70vol%, and an arc resistant component, consisting of carbide of an element selected from a group composed of Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, MO, AND W and having 75-30vol%. Also a contact material is used, in which an arc resistant component has a mean particle diameter of 0.3-3mum and a mean distance between particles of a degree of 0.1-1mum. A stable high-current breaking characteristic and exhaustion resistance can be obtained because adoption of fine WC powder, preferable selection of an Ag quantity and a mean distance between particles of WC, and fining and uniforming of a contact organization are achieved in this contact material.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a vacuum bulb having low cutting current characteristics and excellent in low surge performance and also excellent in large current breaking performance by forming a contact provided on a movable electrode of a specific contact material containing a highly conductive component and an arcresistant component. CONSTITUTION:A contact 23 provided on a movable electrode 20 is formed of a material wherein the material is an Ag-Cu-WC vacuum bulb contact mate rial containing a highly conductive component of Ag and Cu and an arc-resistant component of WC while content of the highly conductive component is 25 to 65wt.% of a total amount (Ag + Cu) of Ag and Cu where a ratio of Ag [Ag /(Ag+Cu)] in the total amount is 50 to 80wt.% and content of the arcresistant component is 35 to 75wt.%, the contact material is structured of a matrix of the highly conductive component, a discontinuous phase of 5mum or less thick or wide, and a discontinuous grain of the arc-resistant component of 1mum or less while the discontinuous phase of the highly conductive component is dis persed finely and uniformly at intervals of 5mum or less. Thus an electrode struc ture having low surge performance and large current breaking performance can be obtained.

CONSTITUTION:A moving side electrode 20b and a fixing side electrode 20a have electrode surface members 27a, 27b composed of a material of specific heat (c) on the opposed side, and the electrode surface members 27a, 27b are composed of a sintering material made of a material that includes 20-65weight% of a high conductive component composed of Ag or of a eutectic material of Ag and Cu, as well as 35-80weight% of an anti-arc component made of tungsten carbide. At least three contacts 28a, 28b are arranged that have flat parts of diameter (d) on the top that are arranged so as to be in contact at the time of closing both electrodes 20a, 20b. When an initial opening speed of the moving side electrode 20b from the fixing side electrode 20a at the time of opening electrode is defined as V while a peak value of a rating circuit breaking current of vacuum circuit breaker defined as I, the diameter (d) is to satisfy the expression I. Even when large current breaking is repeated, a vacuum breaker circuit of long life can thus be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the current breaking characteristic by disposing two kinds of contact points in such a manner that they partly contact to each other and the contact points of the same kind contact and separate to each other by the contacting and separating motion of the both electrodes, and applying a vertical magnetic field twice the vertical magnetic strength minimizing the voltage of an arc generated by the separation of the both electrodes. CONSTITUTION:On the opposite faces of both electrodes 15, 16, two kinds of contact points 151, 152 and 161, 162 having different arc voltages in vacuum arc discharge are disposed in such a manner that they partly contact to each other and the same kind of contact points contact and separate to each other by the contacting and separating motion of the both electrode 15, 16. Further, a vertical magnetic field twice or more the vertical magnetic field minimizing the voltage of an arc generated by the separation of the both electrodes 15, 16 is applied. Hence, when a number of cathode spots are present on the contact point which becomes a negative electrode at the time of current breaking, these cathode spots can be distributively ignited on the both contact points without biasing to only the contact points having low arc voltage, and the current charge on the contact point with low arc voltage can be limited.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide both a low cutting current characteristic and a high frequency arc-extinguishing characteristic by having a content of Ag and Cu, contact materials of Ag-Cu-WC system, and that of WC, and also structure of the contact materials defined respectively. CONSTITUTION:In a contact material for an Ag-Cu-WC system vacuum valve, Ag and Cu of high conductive components and WC of an anti-arc component are included. For a content of high conductive components, that of Ag+Cu is defined as 25 to 65wt.%, while that of Ag/(Ag+Cu) defined as 40 to 80wt.%. Also, a content of an anti-arc compound is defined as 35 to 75wt.%. Further, structure of the contact material is composed of a matrix of high conductive component and a discontinuous phase of thickness or of width of 5 micrometer or less, and of a discontinuous grain of an anti-arc component of 1 micrometer or less, the discontinuous phase of the high conductive component being dispersed in the matrix finely and homogeneously at an interval of 5 micrometer or less. In the structure as mentioned above, both a low cutting current characteristic and a high frequency arc-extinguishing characteristic can be provided.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled contact material in which phenomena of contact deformation are prevented and a deposition-resisting property is improved, by uniformly dispersing B with a specific grain size and forming O into a state of specific solid solution in a Cu alloy containing specific percentages of B and O. CONSTITUTION:In Cu or/and Ag alloys containing, by weight, 0.0001-0.002% B and 0.0001-0.002% O, B is practically dispersed in a granular state and B grains of 0.1-7mu grain size comprise >=90% of the whole of B grains. Further, O does not exists at least in the form of an oxide having >=1,000 deg.C dissociation temp., but exists in a state in which the greater part of O is allowed to enter into solid solution in the alloy. Moreover, at least one element among Bi, Pb, Te, Se, and Sf can be incorporated into this alloy by 0.1-5% as deposition- preventing component. In this way, the contact material for vacuum valve capable of attaining the reduction in the phenomenon of dimensional increase in a contact after a brazing stage simultaneously with the maintenance and improvement of deposition resistance can be obtained.

    SOLUTION: A non-evaporative getter 20 is mounted inside a vacuum valve in advance, and the vacuum valve is evacuated to about 1 to 0.01 Pa in a vacuum heating furnace with solder put in a sealing part, while the temperature is elevated to cause the solder to melt. Even if it is solidified, the solder will not cool but keeps its temperature for a while, maintaining the adsorption capability of the getter 20 and increasing the degree of vacuum inside the vacuum valve whereby a high-stage side vacuum pump can be omitted.
