Abstract: PURPOSE:To absorb the force applied to a junction by fitting a fitting member to the end section of a fluorescent lamp with an elastic means rotating at the angle of 1 deg. or more in the peripheral direction of the fluorescent lamp. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent lamp fitting member 3 is fitted to the end section of the wire bulb 2 of a fluorescent lamp 1, a support tool 4 fixing the fluorescent lamp to an OA equipment or the like is provided on this member 3, a screw or the like is inserted into the through hole 5 of the support tool 4 to fix the fitting member to the OA equipment or the like with a screwing means (not shown in the figure). The fitting member 3 is fitted to the end section of the wire bulb 2 with an adhesive 8. This adhesive 8 is, for example, a silicone resin adhesive, and constitutes an elastic means with the elasticity movable by 1 deg. or more in the peripheral direction of the wire bulb 2. The wire bulb 2 can be prevented from being removed from a base or cracked even if a force is applied to the adhesive 8 either in the rotary direction of the wire bulb 2 or in the length direction.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a light distribution of a lamp in life from being uneven due to blackening of a film by disposing a filament on a position where it is deflected from a central axis line of a bulb and distant from a light transmitting part. CONSTITUTION:A filament 2 is disposed inside a gap which is formed between a flare stem 7 and a bulb's inner surface on a side opposite to a light transmitting part. Therefore, materials, which are scattered from a filament 2 and an emitter and the like and are going to the light transmission part 3, are made to impinge on the flare stem 7 and suppressed, so that few materials stick on the light transmitting part 3. Hence, because a degree of blackening in the light transmitting part 3 becomes very small, the light emitted outside from the light transmitting part 3 is not almost interrupted, so that unevenness in a longitudinal light distribution of a bulb 1 in life can be suppressed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent generation of flicker after long hours lighting by sealing argon having a specified pressure in a bulb of fluorescent lamp having discharge electrode with auxiliary electrode and a lamp current of 0.3-0.4A. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent lamp is formed in such a way that both ends of tube-shaped glass bulb whose inside is covered with a phophor film are covered with an electron emission substance 5, and a discharge elecrode 1 comprising a tungsten coil filament 4 connected with two wires 3 and auxiliary electrodes 6 mounted on lead wires is sealed. Argon having a pressure of 2.4-2.8 torr is sealed in the tube-shaped glass bulb of the fluorescent lamp having a lamp current of 0.3-0.4A. By increasing the pressure of argon and specifying the pressure range, ion bombardment of cathode is moderated and irregular flicker is prevented and a lumen maintenance factor is highly maintained for a long period of time.

SOLUTION: This discharge lamp is provided with a sealed envelope having a light transmission part and containing discharge gas and mercury, a pair of electrodes arranged in such a state that a diamond layer is formed as the emissive material on a surface of a substrate and a part is housed in the envelope at the end part of the envelope, a bonding layer provided on the electrode, a sealing material layer provided on the bonding layer, and a phosphor provided on the inner surface of the envelope. The bonding layer contains an element which is a component element of the sealing material layer and easily reacts with carbon. The envelope and the electrode are joined through the bonding layer and the sealing material layer.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the discharge lamp in the caption having high luminous efficiency, a long life and stable brightness distribution by providing a hot cathode type electrode inside a bulb, in whose inside a phosphor coating is formed, while sealing rare gas mainly composed of xenon into the bulb inside with specific pressure. CONSTITUTION:A phosphor coating 2 is formed on the inner surface of a bulb 1 and a hot cathode type electrode 5 is provided inside this bulb 1 while the rare gas mainly composed of xenon is sealed inside this bulb 1 with the pressure of 20-200 Torr. Accordingly, the influence of the atmospheric temperature is exerted on the pressure inside the bulb 1 to a small extent, luminous efficiency and starting performance are stabilized, and further since a hot cathode type is adopted as the electrode 5, it is possible to preheat at the time of starting and to lower starting voltage. Thereby, lamp voltage is lowered to improve luminous efficiency and unevenness of brightness distribution is dissolved for obtaining stable brightness distribution.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase the effective luminous length of a discharge lamp applying no thermal strain to a button stem by burying both ends of a pair of arch- shaped inner lead wires in the button stem and providing a filament between the top portions of respective lead wires. CONSTITUTION:The end portion of a bulb 1 is sealed with a circular button stem 6 and respective both ends of arch-shaped inner lead wires 10, 10 are buried in the button stem 6. Only one of the ends of respective inner lead wires 10, 10 is leaded out, and recesses 11, 11 are formed respectively on the top central portion of the inner lead wires. Both leg portions of a filament 4 are hung over these recesses 11, 11. As the lead wire 10 is bended the attaching height A3 of the filament can be lowered so as that the filament is neared to the button stem 6 without changing the distance along the lead wire 10 from the filament 4 to the button stem 6. Thereby it is possible to elongate the effective luminous length and in addition the local heating can be reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve radiation efficiency by removing phosphor film's part not closely facing an irradiated surface so that apertures are formed and sticking a reflective film on a fixed inner peripheral surface of a bulb. CONSTITUTION:A positive column and a phosphor film 12e inside a bulb 12a are excited to become luminous. Almost all of these lights are radiated outside from the periphery of respective linear parts 12c and 12d. However, part of these lights are reflected and dispersed on respective reflective films 15a and 15b and then guided outside through respective apertures 14a and 14b and next directly radiated on the outside edge part of the irradiated surface 13. Lights radiated toward the reflective films 15a and 15b, and the lights, which are generated inside the bulb 12a and radiated toward the apertures 14a and 14b, are reflected and diffused there and added to the lights guided outside through the apertures 14a and 14b, so that light output power of them is enlarged. Therefore, illumination of the outside edge part of the irradiated surface 13 is upgraded by these lights which are enlarged in output power and guided through apertures.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent flicker of light emitted randomly during lighting and prevent shortening of life due to blackening by arranging an auxiliary electrode which protrudes in the direction of discharge from a connecting point of a coil filament and specifying the ratio of the host capacity of the part of the auxiliary electrode beyond the joining point on the side of an electrode to the lamp current to a particular value. CONSTITUTION:In a rod-shaped auxiliary electrode 6 protruding from the middle of an inner lead wire 4 to which a filament 5 is connected in the discharging direction, the auxiliary electrode 6 protrudes from the connecting point of the filament by at least 4mm in the discharging direction. The heat capacity Q of the part of the auxiliary electrode 6 beyond the joining point of the inner lead wire 4 on the electrode side with the lamp current IL is regulated to a relation Q/IL>=1.0X10 (cal/ deg.C.A). By this arrangement, overheat of the auxiliary electrode 6 at the time of the electron beam inrush can be prevented, emission and sputter of impurity gas from the auxiliary electrode 6 can be prevented and shortening of the life due to the blackening and the deterioration of the flicker prevention effect can be prevented.
