Abstract: An image forming apparatus having a receipt interface I/F (17), a hard disk (16, 16a, 41), and a printer section (12). The receipt interface I/F receives pages of image data transmitted and a partial print request signal requesting that only a part of the image data be printed, both transmitted through a communication line. The hard disk stores both the image data and the partial print request signal. The printer section prints a part of the image data stored in the hard disk, in response to the partial print request signal that the receipt interface I/F has received.

Abstract: A plurality of terminals are connected together through a network. An image read/input device is connected through the network to read an image, convert it into electronic image information and input it. A temporary storage device temporarily stores electronic image information inputted from the image read/input device. When a request for transferring image information is received from a terminal, a conversion device converts image information stored in the temporary storage device based upon the attribute information of the terminal which is the source of the request. A transfer device transfers the image information converted by the conversion device to the terminal which is the source of request through the network.
