    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain compound oxide powder having a composition of excellent uniformity by heat-treating at a given temperature a precursor for producing a uniform compound oxide comprising a thermally decomposable metallic compound, sol of metal oxide, etc., as raw materials. CONSTITUTION:Plural compounds are selected from a thermally decomposable metallic compound, sol of metal oxide and sol of metal hydroxide. A solution containing the plural compounds and a solvent is blended with a water-soluble polymer compound. Then the solvent is removed from the mixed solution to give a precursor for producing a compound oxide. Then the precursor is heat- treated at >=400 deg.C.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently change and control the valency of an aq. metal ion soln. by using a fluorine anion-exchange membrane having a specified structure produced by applying treatment with an acid or a base. CONSTITUTION:The valency of an aq. soln. of a metal ion capable of forming plural oxidation states is changed and controlled by anion-exchange membrane electrolysis. A membrane formed from a copolymer consisting of a repeating unit shown by the formula is treated with an acid or a base, and an anion- exchange group is introduced into the copolymer to obtain a fluorine carboxylic ester membrane which is used as the anion-exchange membrane in this case. In the formula, X is F or CF2, (l) is 0 or 1-5, (m) is 0 or 1, (n) is 1-5, p/q is 4-16, and R is an alkyl. Since the anion-exchange membrane has excellent durability and a metal ion is not leaked, the membrane is applicable to various processes, and the valency of the metal ion can be efficiently changed and controlled.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the durability of diaphragms in an electrolytic cell used to synthesize amino acid by an electrolytic ion substitution method and to develop an electrolytic anion substitution method by which superior efficiency is attained, by using F-contg. anion exchange membranes each having a specified structure as the diaphragms. Electrolysis is then carried out at 50A/dm current density to obtain an amino acid soln. by the substitution of OH for Cl in the intermediate chamber 7. An F- contg. anion exchange membrane represented by formula I and having quat. ammonium groups represented by formula II or IV is used as the anion exchange membrane 2. An F-contg. anion exchange membrane represented by the formula I and having quat. ammonium groups represented by formula III is used as the anion exchange membrane 3.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title fine powder good in sinterability and excellent in its composition uniformity by bringing an anion exchange resin into contact with a solution in which metal compounds as the raw materials for the title powder have been dissolved, producing insoluble metal compounds and then by calcining the product. CONSTITUTION:(A) A solution in which at least two metal compounds (e.g. MgCl2.6H2O and NbCl5) have been dissolved is brought into contact with (B) an anion exchange resin (pref. OH for the anion) to form insoluble metal compounds. The amount of the anion exchange resin to be used should be at least equivalent to that necessary for producing said metal compounds (pref.>=1.2 times). From the resulting mixed solution, the anion exchange resin is separated using e.g. a mesh, and the product is collected through filtration, spray drying etc. from the liquid separated, being then calcined to obtain the objective multiple oxide powder.
