CONSTITUTION:A herbicide composition for paddy fields which is obtained by combining one or more of O-3-t-butylphenyl N-(6-methoxy-2-pyridyl)-N- methylthiocarbamate and O-4-t-butylphenyl N-(6-methoxy-2-pyridyl)-N- methylthiocarbamate with NC-310, namely, 5-benzyloxy-4-(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl)-1- methylpyrazole in the ratio of 1 pt.wt. of the former and 0.1-10 pts.wt. of the latter, has excellent herbicidal effects and high safety to paddy-rice plants, wherein each active ingredient shows more excellent synergistic effects than effects of single substance.

The herbicide composition has a wide range of application time, controls an extremely large number of weeds from gramineous weeds to broad-leaved weeds and has excellently herbicidal effects.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the title composition containing as active ingredients O-3-t-butylphenyl N-(6-methoxy-2-pyridyl)-N-methylthiocarbamate, etc., and 2-(2,4- dichloro-3-methylphenoxy)propionanilide. CONSTITUTION:O-3 or 4-t-butylphenyl N-(6-methoxy-2-pyridyl)-N- methylthiocarbamate and 2-(2,4-dichloro-3-methylphenoxy)propionanilide are mixed with an inert carrier to obtain the objective composition in the form of granular, hydrated, milky, powdery or flowable formulation. This composition has high synergistic effect, being applicable over a wide range of period, having remarkable herbicidal effect on perennial weeds such as Scirpus juncoides and Sagittaria pygmaea as well as annual weeds such as Cyperus difformis and Monochoria vaginalis, also causing no damage on transplanted paddy-rice plants. Furthermore, the present composition has persistent residual efficacy, thus leading to labor savings in farm working.

An application amount is properly 2-30g compound A and 0.5-20g compound B based on 1a.
