Abstract: A system for displaying images is disclosed. The system comprises a multi-domain pixel structure for a display panel. The multi-domain pixel structure comprises a plurality of domain electrodes (244,246,248) that are physically separated form one another, each defining a domain within pixel, and a capacitance element (234), an electrode of which electrically connects the plurality of domain electrodes.
