Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to decrease the stained parts where a conductive coating material sticks to the front ends of couplers and to easily wash these parts even if the coating material sticks thereto at the time of supplying the coating material by engaging and disengaging the couplers interposed in a coating material flow passage for supplying the coating material. SOLUTION: Respective valves 7, 8 formed at the respective couplers 9A, 9B are opened and formed to the front faces of the couplers 9A, 9B where their coating material inlet/outlet ports 7a, 8a face each other at the time of engagement. Valve disks 7b, 8b energized to close the coating material inlet/ outlet ports 7a, 8a from the inner side are disposed in the valves 7, 8. Operating elements 7d, 8d to open the coating material inlet/outlet ports 7a, 8a by pushing the other valve disks 7b, 8b are formed on at least one of the valve disks 7b, 8b so as to project from the inlet/outlet ports 7a, 8a. An annular projection 7e which is pressed to a synthetic resin valve seat 8e formed on the front surface of the other coupler 9B in tight contact therewith is so formed as to enclose the inlet/outlet port 7a.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To surely prevent the formation of thin films on the liquid surface of a water-base coating material by constituting a coating material tank of an air-tight tank and connecting a supply tube for compressed air which imparts inner pressure to prevent the vaporization of water from the water-base coating material. CONSTITUTION:To the coating material tank 1, a supply tube 4 for the coating material to send the water-base coating material from the tank 1 to each coater 3 under pressure by a pump 2, a return tube 5 for an excess coating material which is not sprayed by the coater 3, and a supply tube 7 for compressed air connected to a supply source of compressed air are connected. When the tank 1 is charged with the specified amt. of water-base coating material, the tank 1 is hermetically sealed to make the air-tight state, for which compressed air is introduced through the supply tube 7 for compressed air to obtain about 1-4kg/cm internal pressure of the tank 1. Thereby, vaporization of water in the water-base coating material reserved in the tank 1 is prevented. Thus, the formation of thin films on the liquid surface of the coating material, which causes ruggedness in a coating film, can be surely prevented.
