Abstract: A safety catch apparatus for a gas burner comprises a fixing part, a stir part and a catch part. The fixing part is two opposite sealing cover halves joining to each other. The fixing part has a circumferential edge with a central passage clearance at the periphery thereof and provides a projection post and at least a guide piece at the front and the rear surface thereof respectively. The stir part is held and located by way of the sealing cover halves and has a stir ring corresponding to the circumferential edge. An inner sector wing is perpendicular to the stir ring and is received in the passage clearance with an elastic expander disposed between the sector wing and an inner wall of the fixing part. The catch part has two opposite fitting holes at the middle portion thereof for fitting with the projection posts such that another elastic expander can be disposed between one of the fitting holes and an outer wall of the fixing part. A connecting rod at the top of the catch part to connect with and to move with an end of the stir ring, and two opposite support plates of the catch part extends downward. Once the stir ring is rotationally pushed to compress the elastic expanders, the connecting rod can rotate synchronously to separate the support plates from preset stop plates at an inner wall of an outer casing on the gas burner such that the entire safety catch apparatus can be pressed down and the guide piece can move downward along a rail groove preset on an inner wall of the outer casing to perform the gas supply the ignition procedure. Once the two elastic expanders are not pressed down, the two elastic expanders may stretch and the catch part and the catch part may restore to an original position thereof respectively to result in the support plates pressing against the stop plate in a state of locking.

Abstract: A safety device for gas burner includes a securing member, a press member, a slidable member, a retaining member and a button member. By manipulating the press member downwardly to reduce the height thereof, a connecting rod of the slidable member displaces as a result of loss of support from a lap piece, with an abutting rod contacting a stop ice. The connecting rod laps an upper portion of the lap piece so that the press member cannot rebound and is positioned. At this time, when the button member is pressed, an ignition means is simultaneously actuated, and the wall hook causes a gas supply means to supply fuel gas to a burner device. The fuel gas is ignited by means of the ignition means, and a wall rod abuts against a trigger rod. By pressing the retaining member, a fastening rod fastens the gas supply means in position to maintain supply of fuel gas. After use, the button member returns to its original position and is automatically retained by the press member.

Abstract: A safety catch mechanism for a gas burner has a fixing part (2) consisting of two opposite cover halves (21,22) with a circular top side (23) with an edge-side central cut-out (24) and a protruding peg (27), two elastic members or springs (34) and (46) plus at least one guide part (28) on the front or rear side and a catch part (4). The cover halves (21,22) are attached either side of a thumbwheel (31) which can rotate and move downwards. The catch part (4) has a connecting rod (41) which forms a link to two side plates (42) having holes (43) which engage with the peg (27), and which extend to form support plate (44). The support plate (44) contacts the guide part (28) to perform the function of catching and cooperates with a stop (17). Rotation of the thumbwheel (31) moves the connecting rod (41) against spring (46) away from the stop piece (17) and allows the thumbwheel (31) to move downwards against the spring (34) and open a gas valve and actuate an ignition source.

Abstract: A safety device for gas burner includes a securing member 1, a press member 2, a slidable member 3, a retaining member (4, see Fig 1) and a button member 5. By manipulating the press member downwardly to reduce the height thereof, a connecting rod 32 of the slidable member displaces as a result of loss of support from a lap piece 24, with an abutting rod (33, Fig 1) contacting a stop piece 23 (see Fig 1) . The connecting rod laps an upper portion of the lap piece so that the press member cannot rebound. When the button member is pressed, an ignition means C is simultaneously actuated, and the wall hook 511 causes a gas supply means to supply fuel gas to a burner device E. The fuel gas is ignited by means of the ignition means. By pressing the retaining member, a fastening rod 42 fastens the gas supply means in position to maintain supply of fuel gas. After use, the button member returns to its original position and is automatically retained by the press member. The safety device is particularly applicable to burners used with bottled gas fuel.
