    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric ceramic composition which has a high specific dielectric constant, can be fired in a reducing atmosphere, and has flattened capacity-temperature characteristic even at high temperatures equal to or higher than X8R characteristic (ΔC/C is within ±15%, at -55 to 150°C) of EIA standard, and which has insulative resistance prevented from deteriorating. SOLUTION: The dielectric ceramic composition contains a main component including barium titanate, a first subsidiary component (at least one kind selected from respective oxides of Mg, Ca, Ba and Sr), a second subsidiary component (silicon oxide is contained as a main component), a third subsidiary component (at least one kind selected from respective oxides of V, Mo and W), a fourth subsidiary component (at least one kind selected from respective oxides of Sc, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu), a fifth subsidiary component (CaZrO 3 or CaO+ZrO 2 ), and a seventh subsidiary component (oxides of Mn and/or Cr).
