Abstract: Additively manufactured aircraft vent structures are provided with a one-piece frame which includes a substantially planar face plate defining a longitudinally elongate vent opening and a series of fixed-position vanes unitarily joined to the planar face plate which extend latitudinally across the vent opening. Each of the vanes may be curvilinear and provided such that unidirectional venting is established or may be in a V-shaped configuration of vane pairs such that multidirectional venting is established. Alternatively or additionally, the vanes may have a widthwise dimension between leading and trailing edges thereof such that the trailing edges of each vane terminally extends at least to a latitudinal plane defined by a leading edge of an immediately adjacent one of the vanes.

Abstract: Airfoil venting systems are provided which include an airfoil (e.g., a winglet or an aircraft wing) having leading and trailing edges and an internal channel adapted to being fluid-connected to an on-board aircraft system which in use requires air to be exhausted. A series of venting apertures are positioned on at least a portion of the trailing edge of the airfoil and fluid-connected to the internal channel whereby air from the on-board aircraft system can be exhausted therethrough.

Abstract: Blended falx winglets are provided which include an initial winglet section adapted to being attached to an aircraft wingtip, and forward and aft sub-winglets extending outwardly and upwardly from the initial winglet section. The forward and aft sub-winglets may have respective curved transition sections with different radii of curvature, e.g., the radius of curvature of the curved transition section of the forward sub-winglet may be greater than the radius of curvature of the curved transition section of the aft sub-winglet.
