Abstract:
A sign having at least one support that is removably inserted into a core and the ground. A clamp is secured to the upper edge of the core, in part, by a connector system. The connector system also removably secures the support to the core. Sheets containing pigment containing material may be secured to the core via the clamp. A removable cover, having pigment containing material, may be located over the core.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for photographic recordation of multiple images having high information density is disclosed. A plurality of camera original photographs, of a first size and arrangement as a first group are mounted into receptacles in a copy frame and uniformly illuminated. The illuminated copy frame is located before a copy camera having independent lenses, for projecting independent, total images onto the image or film plane of the copy camera. A target area is located on the image or film plane. Each lens is adjusted to project a portion of its total image on the target area. The cumulative image on the target area comprises a selected portion of each independent total image, and each selected portion consists of an image of a different portion of the copy frame displaying independent images of the camera originals in a second size and arrangement as a second group distinct from the first group.
Abstract:
Peptide nanotube polymers and methods of making such are disclosed. The peptide nanotube polymers are comprised of alternating monomers of the first peptide ring and monomers of the second peptide ring covalently bonded to one another via a linker, and can be functionalized. The described peptide nanotube polymers can enjoy the combined properties of healing and toughness, self-reporting, and tunability and actuation.
Abstract:
Disclosed are peptide structures that are stable in aqueous and non-aqueous media where a first linear peptide chain comprising alternating D,L- or L,D-amino acids having an N and C termini is joined by at least one turn region to a second linear peptide chain comprising alternating D,L- or L,D-amino acids having an N and C termini. The peptide chains can be joined at the C terminus of one of the linear peptide chains with an N terminus of the other linear peptide chain, a C terminus of one of the linear peptide chains with a C terminus of the other linear peptide chain, or an N terminus of one of the linear peptide chains with an N terminus of the other linear peptide chain.

Abstract:
An image capturing apparatus for capturing a sequence of subsections of a flat field subject image. The image capturing apparatus includes a camera assembly, preferably including a digital camera, and a lighting assembly. The image capturing apparatus further includes an image positioning jig for moving the subject image to a series of predetermined positions relative to the camera assembly for the capture of the subsections of the subject image by the camera. The image positioning jig includes a backing plate for supporting the subject image in an image plane, and a positioning rail for abutting an edge of the subject image for slidable movement along the X-axis of the image plane. A plurality of rail locators are arranged on the backing plate for attaching the positioning rail to the backing plate at predetermined positions along the Y-axis of the image plane. A plurality of image stops are disposed on the backing plate for positioning the image at predetermined locations along the X-axis of the image plane.
Abstract:
A frame may have a plurality of perimeter walls. The perimeter walls may at least partially bound at least one window. The perimeter walls may have an inner perimeter surface with at least one inner groove. The perimeter walls may also have an outer perimeter surface with a plurality of outer slots. A frame system may have the frame with at least one connector selectively adapted to fit within at least one of the outer slots. The connector may be used to connect one or more frames together or to function as a hanger for the frame or the system.
