PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a low-cost speaker by utilizing the conventional broadcast facilities. SOLUTION: An analog audio signal amplified with an amplifier 2 is supplied to the speaker 14 via speaker wires 8N, 8C. A digital modem 38 modulates a high-frequency carrier with a digital audio signal supplied from a controller 34 to generate a digital modulated signal and this digital modulated signal is then supplied to a digital modem 50 via the speaker wires 8N, 8C for demodulation into a demodulated digital signal. The controller 54 converts the demodulated digital signal to an analog signal and then supplies this analog signal to an extended speaker 14a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy sound pressure-frequency characteristics of a speaker unit suitable for both emergency and normality only by using extremely few components and members. SOLUTION: A speaker characteristic correction apparatus A for emergency broadcasting equipment includes an equalizer 14 and a route switching section 15. When detecting a notification signal, the route switching section 15 switches a signal route from an audio signal input section 12 to an audio signal output section 13 from a route via the equalizer 14 to a route bypassing the equalizer 14. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of output deviation between receiver terminals in distant locations by accurately matching time information managed in a plurality of receiver terminals. SOLUTION: In the digital data transmission system, a time stamp is added to digital data transmitted from a transmitter terminal, and the digital data are transmitted and reproduced, in each of a plurality of receiver terminals, in a reproduction timing based on the time stamp added to the received digital data and a set delay time. Time information managed at a receiver terminal side is made into accurate time information based on external radio waves, thereby preventing deviation of reproduction timings in the receiver terminals. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce audio data faithfully to original sound and to improve the sound quality of audio data to be reproduced by making sampling frequencies coincide with each other between a transmitting side and a receiving side and enhancing accuracy in a data transmission system for transmitting a digital sound signal through a network and reproducing the digital sound signal at a receiving terminal side. SOLUTION: In a method for transmitting data, a data transmitter and a data receiver are provided with external clock receiving parts for respectively receiving a clock signal from the outside and sampling clock generating parts for generating a sampling clock for a predetermined frequency on the basis of the clock signal received by the external clock receiving part, wherein the accuracy of external clocks received by the respective external clock receiving parts coincide with each other. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation method of line array speakers that prevents a sound wave from reflecting on a configuration surface of a room in a short side direction of the line array speakers, and further improves legibility of the sound, and to provide the room in which the line array speakers are installed by the method. SOLUTION: In the room with a wall surface 1 to a wall surface 4, a ceiling surface 5, and a floor surface 6, the line array speakers S41 and a line array speakers S23 are installed in a corner part 41 and a corner part 23 composing diagonal line angles, respectively. More specifically, while turning a long hand direction of the line array speakers S41 to a top and down direction of the room, the speakers are arranged to touch on the wall surface 1 and the wall surface 4 in the short side direction.
