Abstract: A thermionic cathode comprising a thermionic emissive material consisting essentially of a metal boride, a support consisting essentially of a refractory metal which is reactive with the metal boride and a brazing material bonding the metal boride to the support and acting as a barrier to prevent reaction therebetween.
