    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for supplying a premixed gas fuel/air mixture having a simultaneously controlled ratio of a fuel and air. SOLUTION: An apparatus for use in a system including a gas fuel supply apparatus 30 and a combustor 48 includes a fuel, actuator 130, a control device 34, and a premixer 44. The control device 34 generates an instruction signal indicative of an operation from the fuel actuator 130. The actuator receives a gas fuel from a liquid fuel supply apparatus and supplies a liquid fuel in a regulated flow ratio in response to the instruction signal. The premixer 44 receives a fuel from the fuel actuator 130, and mixes the fuel and air and supplies the mixture to the combustor 48.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the degree of unstable combustion by a method wherein fuel is received by a premixer from an actuator to mix air into the fuel and the mixture is supplied into a combustor. SOLUTION: A gas turbine engine 22 is provided with a compressor 36, a burner 38 and a turbine 40 while the burner 38 is provided with 16 sets of premixer groups 44 and a combustor 48. The premixer groups 44 receive compressed air 50 from the compressor 36 and mix the compressed air 50 into fuel, supplied from the actuator 130 of a fuel supplying system 30 through a fuel pipeline 52. The mixture is supplied into the combustor 48 to burn the same in the combustor 48. According to this method, the degree of unstable combustion can be controlled without increasing the occurrence speed of NOx in the combustor 48.

    Abstract: An apparatus for use in a system having a liquid fuel supply and a combustor includes a fuel actuator, a controller, and a premixer. The controlle r generates a command signal indicative of actuation sought from the fuel actuator. The actuator receives liquid fuel from the liquid fuel supply and provides liquid fuel at a modulated rate of flow in response to the command signal. The premixer receives the fuel from the actuator, mixes the fuel with a ir, and provides the mixture to the combustor. An apparatus for use in a gas turbine power plant having a liquid fuel supply includes a fuel actuator, a controller, and a gas turbine engine. The controller generates a command signal indicative of actuation sought from the fuel actuator. The actuator receives liquid fuel from the liquid fuel supply an d provides liquid fuel at a modulated rate of flow in response to the command signal. The gas turbine engine includes a burner having a premixer and a combustor. The premixer receives the fuel from the actuator, mixes the fuel wit h air, and provides the mixture to the combustor. A controller for use in system having a fuel actuator that receives liquid fuel and a command signal and provides, in response to the command signal, liquid fuel at a modulate flow rate to a premixer that receives the modulated liquid fuel flow from the fuel actuator, mixes the liquid fuel with air, and provides the liquid fuel and air mixture to a combustor, includes means for determining the actuation sought from the fuel actuator to cause the actuator to provide liquid fuel at the modulated flow rate, and means for generating a command signal indicative of said actuation sought from the fuel actuator.
