    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for cooling a wall, having a selectively adjustable thermal transfer profile so as to be substantially agreed with heat load profile. SOLUTION: A circuit 26 is arranged inside a wall of a gas turbine engine, the circuit 26 having a front end 30, a rear end 32, a first wall part 34, a second wall part 36, and a plurality of pedestals 42, 43, 45. The first and second wall parts 34, 36 spaced certainly from each other are extended between the front end 30 and the rear end 32 of the cooling circuit 26 in the longitudinal direction 52. The pedestals 42, 43, 45 are laid between the first and second wall parts 34 and 36. Characteristics and lines of the pedestals in the cooling circuit 26 are so selected that a thermal transfer cooling profile is provided in the cooling circuit 26 for substantially offsetting heat load profile applied to the wall including the cooling circuit 26.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling performance of a rear edge of an aerofoil while avoiding a problem of mechanical fatigue. SOLUTION: This aerofoil is placed a plurality of first openings 20 at an outer wall with adjacent to a rear edge 28 thereof. Each first opening 20 is positioned at an suction face side from a center line 42 of the aerofoil in a longer range than a half length of the first openings 20, and a rear part 50 opens outside from a wall 14 at pressure face side beyond the center line 42. A plurality of second openings 22 are extended through the inside of the wall 14 at the pressure face side and opens outside from the wall 14 at the pressure face side at the upstream and close position of the first openings 20. Since the first openings 20 are positioned close to a wall 16 side of the suction face side, convection cooling can be sufficiently carried out and the second openings 22 can be arranged close to the rear edge 28 side to sufficiently carry out film cooling.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device and method for a wall for provide a convection cooling inside the wall. SOLUTION: This cooling circuit 22 having one or more inlet openings 40 and one or more outlet openings 44 is arranged between a first wall part and a second wall part. The inlet opening 40 provides a cooling air flow passage led to the cooling circuit 22, while the outlet opening 44 provides a cooling air passage led out of the cooling circuit 22. The cooling circuit 22 includes a plurality of first pedestals 34 extended between the first and second wall parts. The first pedestals are arranged in at least one line 48. In one preferred embodiment, the first pedestals are separated from each other by inner-line spacings 50 in any line 48, while the adjacent pedestals in the adjacent lines are spaced from separated from each other by across-line spacings 52. The inner-line spacing 50 exceeds the across-like spacing 52.
