Abstract: A sealing device which is adapted to cooperate with and be secured to the outwardly extending tabs on the inlet vanes for the turbine in which the tabs provide a forwardly facing surface and the sealing device has a rearwardly facing surface in contact with one another and with the parts secured together by a row of bolts in which the sealing element has a flange along the outer edge of the element between certain bolts to reinforce the plate and between other bolts the sealing element is reinforced by plates extending between adjacent bolts and secured to the forward side of the sealing element by said bolts.

Abstract: A fuel nozzle for a gas turbine engine is constructed with two major castings where one is the support (10) and the other is the head (12), both welded together adjacent the fuel orifice plate (24). The fuel passage (14) is cast into the support (10) providing a smooth radius (16) from the radial to axial flow path and a smooth transition from the circular to the annular cross section. This configuration allows dimension control over the filming lip (30) and other critical dimensions of the nozzle.
