Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diamond-tipped indenting tool with improved wear resistance. SOLUTION: The diamond-tipped indenting tool for marking a surface of a metal part is composed of a shank part 12 having a tip 14, and a diamond 16 attached to the tip 14 by a brazing material 18. Preferably, the brazing material 18 comprises a brazing alloy with favorable wettability to the diamond 16 and a material forming the shank part 12. The diamond 16 forms a point 22 of the tool.
