A rotor blade (28) having an integral platform (34) with a cooled fillet (44) is disclosed. Various construction details are developed which provide a cooling hole (48) extending in proximity of the fillet (44) to convectively cool the fillet (44). In a particular embodiment, a rotor blade (28) having an integral platform (34) and fillet (44) includes a cooling hole (48) extending between an internal cooling passage (42) and a damper cavity (58). The cooling hole (48) has a streamwise axis (72) oriented in the direction to a line (74) tangent to a midpoint (68) of the fillet (44). The cooling hole (48) directs a flow of cooling fluid radially inward and laterally outward, the cooling fluid flowing in proximity to the fillet (44) to provide convective cooling.
