Abstract: The present invention provides an improved piezoelectric tubular ultrasonic motor (300) comprising of a tubular piezoelectric ultrasonic motor assembly (100) and a housing assembly (250). The tubular ultrasonic motor assembly (100) further, including a preload adjustment sub-assembly (200) that in cooperation with the housing assembly (250) provides a mechanism for applying an adjustable preload to a rotary shaft/rotor (150) of a tubular piezoelectric ultrasonic motor (300).
