Abstract: The invented electron tube cathode system, particularly for sound amplifiers is secured on electrically non-conducting plates (9) and is formed by at least one cathode (2) that is connected to a glow circuit and in emission region (5) of its surface it is provided with a layer of emission-active material. At least a portion of the cathode (2) surface out of the emission region (5) is provided with at least one strip (4) of thermally conducting material. The strips (4) disposed on at least two adjacent cathodes (2) are connected with a transverse connecting element (6), whereby they form a U-shaped sheet part (7).

Abstract: The cathode according to the present invention consists of an electrically non-conducting board (D), at least one electrically-conducting layer (V) being connected to a glow source and at least one surface layer (E) of an emissive active substance, whereby the electrically-conducting layers (V) are inside the structure. At the same time the electrically-conducting layer (V) can be placed between the surface layer (E) of the emissive active substance and the electrically non-conducting board (D). Between the electrically-conducting layer (V) and the surface layer (E) of the emissive active substance there can be in the direction away from the electrically-conducting layer (V) successively applied an insulation layer (I) and a metallic electrically-conducting layer (K) thereon. The electrically-conducting layer (V) and the metallic electrically-conducting layer (K) can be interconnected by means of at least one connection of electrically-conducting material.
