    Abstract: A compressor assembly (10) configured to increase pressure of a fluid. The compressor assembly includes a cylinder (12a, 12b) forming a space for compressing the fluid and a piston (14a, 14b) configured to reciprocate in the cylinder to compress the fluid. The compressor assembly includes a crank shaft (72) configured to drive the piston and a crank shaft housing (18a, 18b) operatively connected to the cylinder and configured to house the crank shaft. A motor (20) is connected to the crank shaft and drives the crank shaft. The compressor assembly further includes a motor housing (22) connected to the crank shaft housing and configured to house the motor. A thermal insulator (24a, 24b) is disposed between the motor housing and the crank shaft housing to enhance thermal insulation between the motor housing and the crank shaft housing.
