Abstract: The invention relates to a novel and simple method for manufacturing laterally substituted chloroderivatives of formula (1) and 3,6-disubstituted cyclohex-2-en-1-ones being intermediates for their manufacturing. The chloroderivatives of the present invention are useful as components of liquid crystalline mixtures used in the field of liquid crystal display technology.
