Abstract: The present invention relates to a seal for capping containers, such as bottles or the like.
In particular, the invention relates to a seal or operculum (1, 101) for closing a container (C), comprising an edge portion (2, 102), a partially removable central portion (3, 103) and a connection portion (4, 104) comprising a semi-circular groove (5, 105), wherein said seal or operculum (1, 101) is made of a plastic material and wherein said edge portion (2, 102) is weldable to the edge (B) of the neck (CL) of said container (C).
