Abstract: Apparatus for placing an image on a photoreceptor by exciting a phosphorescent intermediate which then contacts the photoreceptor causing an image in the pattern of the excited phosphors on the intermediate. Apparatus may be added for viewing the image formed on the intermediate. By use of a long persistence phosphor, the intermediate is capable of several exposures on the photoreceptor though it is excited only once.
