Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet ink composition having improved water resistance and a desired viscosity. SOLUTION: This ink composition comprises a vehicle, a coloring agent, and a primary amine, secondary amine or tertiary amine bound to the coloring agent. An ink composition comprises a vehicle, an acidic pigment and a primary amine, secondary amine or tertiary amine bound to the acidic pigment. Therein, the ink has a high viscosity before sheared, has a low viscosity during shearing, and is returned to the high viscosity after sheared.
