    Abstract: A cutting apparatus for elastomeric sheet material is disclosed. It is adapted to cut the sheet material along a linear cut and is so constructed that the elastomeric material cut thereby is free of waves, nicks and other deformities. The apparatus comprises a frame, a base plate attached to the frame and having means for securing sheet material to be cut thereto and a cutting blade assembly slidably mounted on a support shaft, said shaft preferably being movable so that the heavy cutting head can be placed in a cutting position relative to the sheet material and the cutting members in the cutting head can thereby engage and disengage the sheet material as desired. Spaced guide members are mounted upon the cutting assembly and engage suitable guide rails mounted upon the frame of the cutting device.

    Abstract: A cleaning system for increasing the packing density of a sump fill. The cleaning system has a blade having an acute angle for removing residual particles from the photoreceptor surface. The acute angle of the blade creates a build up of toner and other residual particles on the cleaning blade. A support platen for the imaging surface is opposed to the cleaning blade to prevent damage to the imaging surface. The build up of toner and other residual particles is guided to the sump by a baffle causing tighter packing of the particles in the sump.

    Abstract: An apparatus for efficient cleaning of the imaging surface. The primary cleaner is a rotating collection roll (210) located directly opposite from and on the other side of the imaging surface from the ultrasonic cleaning assist device (220). The ultrasonic energy is used to remove the toner from the imaging surface enabling attraction toward the biased collection roll. The ultrasonic energy decreases the amount of residual toner remaining after transfer. The residual toner that is not cleaned from the surface by the collection roll is removed from the surface by the rotating biased conductive brush (200), which is the secondary cleaner. The collection roll is contactless in that it does not come into contact with the photoreceptor. In another embodiment of the invention, the primary cleaner and the secondary cleaner are collection rolls with ultrasonic cleaning assist devices directly under each collection roll. The entire cleaning system is contactless.
