Abstract: Apparatus for selectively directing sheet material from a first sheet feed path along a second or third sheet feed path. The apparatus includes a selectively shiftable interference member to direct the sheet material along either the second or third path. The interference member may also be selectively moved in relation to the movement of the leading edge of a sheet fed along the third path so that it may be folded and then directed along the second path.

Abstract: A document conveyor assembly for moving a document past a work station. The assembly includes a drum for releasably supporting the leading edge of the document, drive means to rotate the drum so that at least a portion of the document is moved past the exposure slit and supplemental conveyor belts to continue the movement of the document past the exposure slit even though the conveyor drum is stopped. Programming means are also employed to cause a predetermined number of passages of the document past the work station prior to its release.

Abstract: 1311766 Sheet-feeding mechanism XEROX CORP 28 May 1970 [2 June 1969] 25631/70 Heading G2H A document which is to be electro-photographically copied and which is longer than the circumference of a conveyor drum 24, is attached to the drum at its leading edge by gripper fingers 38 and the leading part of the document is conveyed past an exposure aperture 13 until the fingers 38 reach the '7 o'clock' position when the drum 24 is stopped. A conveyer belt 100 then causes the remainder of the document to slide over drum 24 past aperture 13. The process is then repeated one or more times (with lamps (LMP) now energized) to produce a pre-set number of copies. Preferably an over-running clutch is employed in the motor drive so that rotation of drum 24 is effected by frictional force from belts 100 until drum 24 is halted thus causing no variation in document speed as belts 100 take over the document feeding. A flexible carrier 101 may be attached to drum 24 to support the document. The speed of drum 24 may be adjusted to produce same-size or reduced-size copies.
