Abstract: A web sensing mechanism for use with the edge of a moving web to sense its deviation from a desired predetermined path of movement. The mechanism includes a ring formed with a tapered inner edge engageable with the sensed edge of the web and which is arranged generally concentric with the axis of a roller around which the web is guided. The ring is mounted for rotation on the end of a control lever which actuates means for correcting the web deviation.
