Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method providing the information on the POI (POI: point of intersest) with the map for the query of a mobile subscriber. The system of the present invention provides a mobile terminal with POI information according to the landmark in the vicinity of the location of the mobile subscriber or to the landmark name input by the mobile subscriber. According to the present invention, the system and method provides one of the prepared maps corresponding to the landmark name sent from a mobile terminal as a query by a POI service subscriber. Thus the feature of the present invention can reduce computaional load of the POI information providing system.
