Abstract: 1,194,392. Coating with copper by hot dipping. T. YAJIMA. Sept. 7, 1967, No. 40899/67. Heading C7F. Ferrous material such as iron, steel and cast iron is coated with Cu or Cu alloys by hot dipping for 2 to 40 seconds in a first molten bath of the metal in a non-oxidizing atmosphere, coating the coated product to 700‹ -800‹C. and then dipping for 1-30 seconds in a second molten bath of the metal in a non-oxidizing atmosphere which bath is at a temperature 50‹ -100‹ C. lower than that of the first bath. More than two molten baths may be used and the temperature difference between the first and last being 50‹ -200‹ C. The coating metal may be aluminium bronze and as shown in Fig. 1 ferrous strip 1 after cleaning and fluxing is passed via rolls 2 through bath 5, is cooled at 7 and passes into second bath 9. The coated strip is then cooled in zone 11 and coiled. The coated product may be hot or cold rolled.

Abstract: An upright standard is provided including structure carried by its lower end for support of the standard from a support surface from which a golf ball may be driven. A low horizontally outwardly projecting arm is stationarily supported from the lower end portion of the standard at an elevation spaced above the lower end of the standard. An elongated flexible tether member has one end thereof anchored to the outer free end portion of the arm and a ball simulating a golf ball is anchored to the other end of the tether member. The length of the tether member is equal to at least one and one-half the effective length of the arm and the standard projects above the arm a distance equal to at least the effective length of the tether member. The arm includes relatively extendable base and free end portions with the base end portion anchored to the standard and the latte comprises upper and lower telescopingly engaged end portions removably engaged with each other.

Abstract: A horizontal seat member defining a central vertical opening therethrough is provided for stationary support from the open upper end of A toilet bowl. The seat member includes front, rear and opposite side portions and defines an upper seat surface which is upwardly concave in a front-to-rear extending direction for more readily conforming to the lower torso configuration of a person having his or her legs bent sharply in positions similar to those assumed when the person is in a squatting position. The forward extremity of the seat member includes a depending portion terminating downwardly in a forwardly and horizontally directed footrest portion for support of the user's feet and the seat member has a hinged cover operatively associated therewith, the cover including first and second sections thereof pivotally joined together along adjacent marginal portions and being swingable between a raised upstanding open position with the cover sections substantially coplanar and a lowered horizontal position with the cover sections relatively oppositely inclined downwardly toward the adjacent marginal edges thereof to more closely conform to the concave seat member. The cover includes structure thereon for releasably retaining the cover sections in the coplanar position thereof.

Abstract: A distilling and rain catching apparatus has a base including a planar portion provided with a hole, and a wall extending from the planar portion. A fluid container is selectively arrangeable on the planar portion of the base so as to be over the hole in the planar portion and receive heat therethrough as desired. This container is also arranged partially surrounded by the wall in heat receiving relationship therewith.
